Our balloon flight with this company was an incredible experience start to finish. Everything from information provided by our shuttle driver to the balloon flight itself were professionally handled! Captain Jonathon made the trip an amazing experience by sharing information about the area we were flying over, entertaining us with his wonderful sense of humor, and skillfully flying the balloon during our time in the air. What a phenomenal time…we highly recommend this adventure!

Had an excellent morning going aloft with pilot CaptainJonathan and my fellow passengers. This was my first hot air balloon trip and I was unprepared for what a peaceful, beautiful 360-degree perspective it offers. We drifted over the top of Stafford Peak and it was magical. Jonathan’s expert handling of our craft was evident and his humor added to the experience. Also good: the overview of ballooning history, champagne toast, learning about this beautiful area. I recommend!

They would definitely need more stars to accurately reflect our sunrise adventure! Captain Jonathan and crew Alex, Anthony & Josh gave us a most spectacular balloon ride directly over Tucson's surrounding peaks just as the sun rose, lighting up the mountains as we gently floated with the breeze. Our landing was perfectly smooth and we had a great time chatting with the cotton farmers who owned the land. A light breakfast, champagne and certificates rounded up a truly beautiful experience. I'd absolutely recommend Hot Air Expeditions for this bucket list flight!

Absolutely incredible from start to finish! Jonathon was our pilot: witty, informative, competent, and kept the entire experience fun and engaging. Marcus and the ground crew were super helpful and kind; they made sure we knew exactly where we were supposed to be, and I can’t say enough good things about them.

This sunrise balloon tour was truly a bucket list experience, and Captain Jonathan made it absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organized, professional, and welcoming. Watching the balloon inflate in the early morning light was mesmerizing, and the takeoff was so smooth—it felt like we were floating! Once we were in the air, the views were breathtaking. Watching the sun rise over the desert landscape was nothing short of magical. Captain Jonathan was the perfect guide—funny, knowledgeable, and clearly an expert pilot. He shared interesting facts about the area, answered all our questions, and made everyone feel completely at ease throughout the entire flight. The landing was smooth as it can get, and the post-flight celebration (with champagne and a toast!) was the perfect ending to a perfect morning. If you’re looking for a unique, peaceful, and awe-inspiring experience, this sunrise balloon tour is a must—and I highly recommend flying with Captain Jonathan. My husband and i took our 8 year old grandson on this Hot Air Balloon ride. It was a little scary at first, but turned out to be a great day. Jonathan and his crew were very friendly and seemed to have a lot of experience. No bathrooms so you better go before you get there!

The crew and captain were professional, totally competent, and just a blast to be around. In the air there were was plenty to see and hear as we floated alone serenely. My partner and I both have a fear of heights, but were totally at ease throughout the ride. Since the ride was early in the morning, and fields in the Marana have little or none of the cacti of nearby Tucson, the temperature was nice and our captain had no problems finding a landing site.

Awesome bucket list excursion! So neat to see the balloon set up and enjoy a sunrise from the basket. Captain Jonathan is really knowledgeable. He has competed in several national balloon races and it was great hearing about his experiences. Highly recommend this trip.
