Starts 5 am going to buy a day temple pass $ 37 per pax ( your own account ) then off to visit sunrise at Angkor Wat, the magnificent religious site built around early 12 century dedicate to Vishnu, the Hindu Lord. Keep exploring till finish around 8:30 am then let have picnic breakfast nearby temple ( bring breakfast boxes from your hotel ). After continue to explore unseen Ta Prohm the famous overgrown jungle temple in Hollywood movie Tomb Raider and off to visit further outskirt Banteay Srei temple with intricate carvings made from Pink Sandstone. Let have lunch at local restaurant nearby. Afternoon visit 13 century Bayon Temple , the 196 Buddha faces temple located in the center and visit South Gate of Angkor Thom on the way back.

I can’t begin to tell you how special this experience was for us! Sun Bunthoeun knows Angkor and the history. We started the morning with him providing us with incense to light and the story behind the religious ritual for prayers. It was the Khmer New Year and sunrise over Angkor Wat was expected to host over 100,000 people with the king, prime minister and senate present for a ceremony at the same time that we were present. Sun knew where to watch the sunrise with no one else around us (except king’s security guards). He avoided the crowds and took us a way that most people did not experience. We spent and exhilarated and exhausting 8 hours at various temples, each with little to no crowds. He is an expert! We came away in awe, with a deeper appreciation for the Cambodian people and culture.

Well worth the early start as the heat really kicks in around lunch. Sam was super efficient, knowledgeable and informative about the history of the temples. We highly recommend Sam for this incredible tour.

Great way to see the wonders of Angkor. Sam was an excellent driver and guide. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. He picked a great place to see the sun rise (shame about the clouds) and gave us an excellent account of the history at each location. Would definitely recommend.

Sam provided us a wonderful tour of the four major temples within Angkor Wat, starting at sunrise. He was able to answer all our questions. He knew all the great spots to take photos and was knowledgeable about every temple.

We had a fantastic day exploring these temples with our knowledgeable guide and enjoying the comfort of a cook air-conditioned minivan. We had cold drinks and cold towels available after every stoo which was welcome as the temperatures hit 37 degrees the day we visited. He pointed out where to get the best photos and took some for us as well. A great day and can't recommend enough!
