We did the half day whale watching (non-swimming) with our guide Louis and it was a fantastic experience. We got very lucky & witnessed 11 whales almost as soon as the tour began. Louis & our captain were able to maximize our experience through their knowledge of how to position us in relation to the whales. We saw many breach's, and some of our fellow boat-mates were able to swim with the whales and capture once-in-a-lifetime video content. We also spent some time snorkeling in deep water was blacktip reef sharks. Highly recommend this outfit!!

A total of 4 couples were on board. The phrase, "Whale watching, Do not swim" was already misleading, as amazingly 3 couples came on board with swimwear. Stupid for us, of course, because we had not taken any swimwear with us, as we were prepared for observations. Unfortunately, however, we did not see any whales in the 4 hours boat trip. For whatever reason, it was now driven with all its might far out on the South Pacific, where the sea was already raging considerably to see whales. Also on board were 2 kl. Children about 6 years old. It was incomprehensible to us that the captain would not put on safety vests, the parents apparently did not care, mind you, the boat got hit sides and we had to hold on extremely tight. It didn't take long, and there were four men on board throwing up violently. But the captain and the guide apparently didn't care and it went further out on the high seas. With the drinks on board was also just a fake, there was only hesitant for those who vomited to rinse a sip of water to their mouths. We had the impression that the captain and the guide had fun with it, you could unfortunately also watch the smile while the others vomited. In the end, we were happy to get off that barge in one piece. A rip-off up 15!!!

A top captain; a lifeguard (he manages the guy) who makes you live a rare moment. He is ironed on humpback whales and has a great knowledge of local wildlife. Launching is only allowed for children > 13 years who can eat well (very physical).

We wondered if we would see whales since sometimes people don’t see them on excursions. We saw 2 sets of mom and calf as well as a male. My husband and I signed up for a non-swimming ticket because neither of us were prepared for open ocean swimming. Our view was from the boat, quite a distance from the whales, and it was still thrilling to see them! There were others in our boat who swam near the whales. We plan to return to Moorea to do this again!

Despite being seasick and having a panic attack they neither helped nor sent us back because there were other travelers snorkeling. I almost fainted but they didn't care

When I booked this experience I contacted Viator to check the max capacity for this trip/boat and was told six. As a family of 5 we were happy with max one other person being on the boat so booked. There was another 6 people on the boat when we arrived. It was not clear from the description that the other people on the boat are swimming with whales. We would never have booked had we known this. It was a whale swimming trip which we’d paid to watch a load of strangers do. It was like booking an airplane tour and then being on a plane where everyone else was skydiving. Yes, you still get a nice view but miss the whole point of being there. Had I just misread, that’s one thing but I contacted to Viator first to confirm and clarify. Very disappointing and wouldn’t trust them again to deliver what they advertise.

Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Captain wasn’t friendly and barely spoke. Whale watching was a wonderful experience. The second time swimmers entered the water, the captain decided to urinate off the back of the boat into front of us, my wife included. The tour talked a lot about following the whale watching rules. They should include human decency rules as well.

Guide was very good. Captain urinated off the back of the boat with my wife sitting next to me. The captain could make an effort to be more friendly. Whale experience was very good. Cort
