(Note that between November 11 - 28, 2024, the Sea to Sky Gondola will be unavailable due to annual maintenance. The tour will be reduced to 8 hours & price is adjusted).

The pedestrian village of Whistler is located at the base of world-famous Whistler-Blackcomb Mountains. This world famous ski resort also hosted many 2010 Olympic outdoor sporting events. Spend an afternoon exploring eclectic downtown shops and cafes, hiking along nature trails, or relaxing and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

The trip itself was beautiful. The scenery amazing. The gondola ride unfathomable. The thing that lost a lot of of the magic, was our driver… Alex. He felt the need to talk incessantly, as well as refer constantly to the Ice Age, the billions of years that The Earth has been in existence. Not sure why he felt the need to push his “religion”, but presumably that was not part of the deal. Many other passengers made comments as well as a woman who said to us as we were getting off the bus: “I think my ears are bleeding.”😅 Alex did give a couple of bits regarding the history of the area, but by then we had lost any faith in his ability to distinguish reality from fiction. Overall, the trip was beautiful, but wondering so desperately what it would’ve been like with a different driver.😞

Great communication and reminders from Viator up to the tour day; seamless pickup shuttle; interesting commentary from Leslie the guide. However, the real surprise was that there were 3 cool parts to the day - not just Whistler: first was the amazing Sea to Sky gondola which also has 2 neat walks with great views, and a short suspension bridge; second: Whistler, which is a very pretty town with great gardens and parks - and then third, Shannon Falls with 2 short walks to see spectacular waterfalls. We had lots of time at each and didn’t feel rushed at all. Then we were dropped back at hotel - easy. Great value tour.

It was a rainy day so we couldn't get to see a lot on the gondola ride. Whistler too it was rainy. But it cleared up on the way back and we were able to appreciate the sights. We did get to see a bear cub!
