While some of Carmel’s wine tasting rooms welcome children, this tour isn’t recommended for children.
While food isn’t included in the tour, our seasoned local guides can make countless restaurant recommendations after the tour concludes. We certainly recommend you have lunch before joining us.

Our three-hour wine tasting and walking tour will show you Carmel-by-the-Sea’s most charming spots, brought to life with insider stories. As you wander through hidden alleyways, exploring Carmel's unique and quirky history, there’ll be stops at three hand-selected tasting rooms to experience the best wines that our beautiful and thoroughly unique region has to offer. And as you wander, you’ll learn from local sommeliers about the region’s unique climates that produce a variety of world-renowned wines. You’ll also be able to gather insights and recommendations from your guide on how to make the most of your trip, whether you’re here for a night or a week! Our tour groups are limited to a maximum of eight people for a highly personalized experience. For bookings of six or more people, please contact us if you'd like to book the tour exclusively for your party.

5.00What a great experience! I learned so much about Carmel and the region. My guide (Doug) was amazing and I felt like I was experiencing the town and tastings with an old friend. Each stop was unique and so informative. This tour is great for anyone who loves to take in some history/fun facts and is curious about wine. Novice and pro winos alike will enjoy this experience!

5.00Toby was a delightful tour guide for this walking tour of Carmel-by-the-Sea. He provided great insight into the wines we tasted as well as commentary about the lovely town. He is clearly a local celebrity (he knew someone random everywhere we went) and had great suggestions for in-town restaurants and activities around town and in nearby areas. We have taken a number of wine tours around the world and this was definitely one of our favorites.

5.00Despite a city-wide power outage in Carmel-by-the-Sea, our wine tasting tour with Tobi was an absolute blast and a total highlight of our trip! Even though the lack of electricity forced one of our planned destinations to close, Tobi didn’t miss a beat; he arranged for an extended, extra-special experience at one of the other tasting rooms that more than made up for it. Tobi is such a charismatic guide—he seamlessly wove in fascinating historical details about the area, and we even had the incredible luck of meeting the Mayor! We were having so much fun that we completely lost track of time. If you want a resilient, top-tier experience that turns a literal dark situation into a glowing memory, this tour is a must.
