While food isn’t included in the tour, our seasoned local guides can make countless restaurant recommendations after the tour concludes. We certainly recommend you have lunch before joining us.

As you wander through hidden alleyways, exploring Carmel's unique and quirky history, there’ll be stops at three hand-selected tasting rooms to experience the best wines that our beautiful and thoroughly unique region has to offer. And as you wander, you’ll learn from local sommeliers about the region’s unique climates that produce a variety of world-renowned wines. You’ll also be able to gather insights and recommendations from your guide on how to make the most of your trip, whether you’re here for a night or a week! Our tour groups are limited to a maximum of eight people for a highly personalized experience. For bookings of six or more people, please contact us if you'd like to book the tour exclusively for your party.

5.00My husband and I spent a long weekend in Carmel-by-the-Sea, and after doing a lot of research and reading many reviews, I selected this Wine and Wanderings Tour for our first full day there, to help give us our bearings of the town and its history — with wine! It turned out to be the absolute highlight of our trip! Toby is a true gem — might as well be the mayor of the town for everything and everyone he knows in Carmel. The wines were exquisite, the tasting rooms intentional and next-level, and the “hidden gems” seen during the tour shared a sense of local flavor we would never have gleaned otherwise. We got a true insider’s peek into Carmel and had the most amazing time! Thank you, Toby!
