What To Expect
Pick up your 2-seater Sea Car at the Portola Hotel & Spa, just a 5-minute walk from Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey. Simple to drive and park, this zany scooter car allows you to zip around downtown streets and out to the coast to cruise along one of the most scenic drives in the United States. You can follow a designated itinerary or make up your own adventure. This 2-hour tour that includes a drive to Monterey's Lake El Estero after taking in historical points of interest downtown. Whip past ocean bluffs to the rocky coves of Asilomar State Beach and the pretty coastal town of Pacific Grove, home to the Monarch Grove butterfly sanctuary. Note, Price is based on per car. Maximum 2 passengers per car; select 1 Adult per car at time of booking.

5.00At first it was a bit hairy, since the car is basically a motorcycle with three wheels & I never rode a motorcycle before. But once I got the hang of it, the ride was so fun, I wished I booked a longer tour! I got a kick out of all the attention I was getting too! Shout-out to the staff and the fisherman who helped me figure out where the power switch was on the handlebar. 😊

5.00We were late getting to the facility, delayed bc of a whale tour- but the crew made us feel welcome, no problem that we were late. He was super friendly, lots of smiles, showed us a safety video, gave us helmets, instructions and off we went. The tour was wonderful, we were able to see lots of sights, the area is beautiful, with spectacular coastline views! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
