Before leaving I was very undecided whether to see only Zanzibar or go on safari. And then what safari, lodge, tent, 3 or 4 days? In the end I chose 2 nights and 3 days of safari +2 nights in hotel in Arusha (day 0 and day 3) with lodge accommodation in mide range with Suricata Safari. The tour included first night in Arusha, very early wake up and departure to Serengeti Park (which is 4/4.5 hours from the park). By 18:30 we arrived at the lodges after a day full of game drives. The next day wake up at dawn, breakfast and then tour to Ngorongoro conservation area which is an area where also the Masai who decide to live in tribes live. After mass day of game drive (excluding travel) we stopped for the night in a neighboring area in the second lodge, around 18:00 (attention the time varies depending on the destination to choose between lodge and tent and this varies according to the members, you have to be flexible otherwise you can book a private tour). The next day wake up just before dawn and then tour of Ngorongoro caldera (which is a nearby area but different from the Ngorongoro conservation area), here we shot all morning and after lunch we returned to Arusha where I recommend sleeping before further flights and travel. Ayma answered all my questions while I was in Italy. A pickup truck picked me up at the airport and took me to a comfortable hotel in Arusha. Here I received a briefing. The next day the group tour started (there were 7 of us including the driver Gherald). A second jeep went on safari with us and it was nice to meet other people. Both guides are very experienced in both driving (and it is not easy on a safari) and providing all the information. I always felt safe. I was always asked if I was satisfied with the stop before moving on to another animal (I am passionate about photography so time is important). I asked Gherald a thousand questions, also in relation to the Masai. I discovered that there are various types and each decides how closely to observe the rules of the tribe, where to live (not everyone lives in the tribes or in the conservation area) and who to marry, so some live isolated without technology in the homes of the Masai tribes and others you can see them riding on a scooter in the city. The experience in the lodge was very comfortable, the one in the Serengeti National Park is really magical, the photos only partially give an idea of how beautiful it was. Dinner was served in comfortable restaurants. The private bathroom was really a valued resource at the end of a long day. I woke up with giraffes circling, but I never felt danger. Campsites and lodges do not have shared facilities and are typically 15-35 minutes apart. The difference in price is justified by the difference in services, but everyone knows if they are ready or suitable for a more tailor-made solution or if it is better to prefer comfort after a long day. I saw all the animals possible, I was lucky enough to see 5 lionesses, 4 antelopes and 3 hyenas competing for a meal the carcass of a zebra. My eyes and my heart have been filled with green, nature and beauty. I highly recommend this experience.

I did a 3 day safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro with MEERKAT and it was an amazing experience. I was traveling alone, and from the beginning I felt very well taken care of: I was accommodated with a family that was lovely, which made the trip much more comfortable and pleasant. We were very lucky with the animals. We saw many, but especially lions on several occasions and also rhinos, which I know is not always easy to see. Much of this was thanks to Gerald, our guide. He was very friendly, experienced and really knew what he was doing. He was always clear about where to go and knew very well the key points to find animals, as well as explaining everything clearly and naturally. The itinerary was very well organized and the pace of the trip felt comfortable, unhurried. We stayed in hotels very well, which made the experience even more enjoyable after long days of safari. The food is included and was very delicious, well prepared and sufficient throughout the tour. Overall it was a very well-kept, safe and authentic experience, even travelling alone. I highly recommend MEERKAT and Gerald, and would definitely go on a safari with them again.

My wife and I booked with Suricata Safaris for this trip and we were greeted and picked up by a transfer taxi from JRO Airport. The transfer was very smooth, we were accommodated for one night extra prior to starting the safari trip. The stay in Arusha was nice but the hotel was average. We were met with a team member the day before to ensure we had the itinerary and all the information and I thought this was a great attention to detail We were part of a group of 7 in total, our group were amazing and everyone was a pleasure to be around, there was a great sense of helping each other to enjoy the experience Once we were picked up by our guide, Damien, the fun began. We were full of excitement, Damien made sure to give us a great experience that was memorable and he consistently went above and beyond to make sure we got some amazing shots and moments. He listened to what we wanted as a group and accommodated and drove like a professional. His english was impeccable and his knowledge on the safaris and surroundings were evident from his speech and behaviours in making sure we would be in the right place at the right time. It was also obvious that he knew many other guides, which was such an important benefit for us, as he would get a call to let us know where to drive to next for the next big moment We managed to see all the Big Five and it was a trip of a lifetime, led by a great guide and curated by a great company. Our stays in the hotels were absolutely phenomenal also, including our stay in the Serengeti Bush Camp, and the jaw-dropping Suricata Boma Lodge

We liked it so much! 10/10 recommend! We saw the big Five within only three days. Camping in tents in the national park was a crazy experience. The food was really good.

We did this safari with the Sucata Safari and it was simply the experience of life! We were lucky to see the Big Five and many other animals, all thanks to our Asifiwe guide, who was always super attentive, dedicated and knowledgeable. Sleeping in the campsites was a real adventure – one of those memories that lasts forever. The food was great and the landscapes absolutely amazing, breathtaking. The transfers and all the care from Sucata Safari were always 5 stars, we felt safe and well accompanied from beginning to end. The only less positive point was the part of the bathrooms, which were not the best and did not have hot water. But, frankly, this little lack of comfort ends up in the background compared to everything we've lived and seen.

It was a great experience. So much attention to detail and everyone was so nice throughout. From being picked up at the airport by Jonny, to being briefed on our itinerary by Mr T, to being led by our great guide Luther; 10 out of 10. Luther was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely recommending this to anyone thinking of doing this.

Me and my wife had a fantastic tour with Mr Golden and Suricata Safaris. It was well organised and had unforgettable experiences. Hopefully in the near future we can back for another safari, just we would choose 4 or 5 days! We are very very thankful to Mr Golden and Suricata team, we will never forget it!

It was an amazing trip, hard to find words for it. Mr Golden, our driver and guide was very professional, with him the tour was absolutely fantastic. I totally recommend this tour, but to be honest, next time I would choose 4 or 5 days safari with Suricata. The mid-range lodges are perfect, we chose it because of the private bathroom. In all lodges we got what we expected, or even more. We could just recommend it!!
