On this Private Dry Game Drive, you bring your drinks, ice and snacks, we provide cooler box, guide, 4x4, diesel and vehicle fees. This way you enjoy the drive privately with just your group and bring the drinks and snacks you love. Using an open four-wheel-drive vehicle, the game drive allows the guests to discover many interpretations of the bush and all its inhabitants, related to them by licensed guides. After the briefing, continue with the drive through the national park and a wide variety of larger mammals may be found within the park including elephants, lions, buffalo, and leopard. In addition, herds of different antelopes and different species of game can be viewed. Its not a Zoo but a game of luck and there is no set route, the guide needs to be able to find the animals. Upstream along the Zambezi River Drive, there are numerous sites where we will use one of them to take a break, you enjoy the food and drinks you brought along and stretch your legs.

What To Expect

Enjoy a private dry game drive in the Zambezi National Park your own private way. A "DRY" game drive means that you bring your own drinks and snacks, we provide the 4x4, guide, cooler box, fuel and vehicle fees. The safari game drive allows you to discover many interpretations of the bush and all its inhabitants, related to them by our licensed and trained guides. We conduct the game drives in Zambezi National Park, and our pm drives normally in Chamabondo National Park. When we reach the park entrance, the guide will handle the formalities and do the official briefing once inside the park.

We booked a 3 hour private experience for my family of 5 at 10am before it’s too hot for the wildlife to go into hiding. We had our lunch and drinks ready. The tour guide arrived but here’s the catch, he had 2 passengers in the jeep already and seated in the front 2 seats. This was unacceptable. We kindly asked for the driver to return at 12 which the driver agreed. But 12:00 and 12:30 came and gone with no show. We called both numbers available on the Viator site which led to bogus numbers with no response. So we requested a refund. And after a few back and forth communications through the app, the driver arrived at 1:00pm, 96° weather. I was traveling from USA and didn’t understand how these two ladies took priority over my family in this 6 max party booking. I traveled from USA with our teens, husband (Zim native), and mother. We had planned and saved for this trip for over a year. We made the most of bad situation and still showed kindness to the driver and enjoyed the animals that we did see. Not to mention we had a 5:00 sunset boat tour booked on the same day so you can imagine the hustle and bustle to prepare for excursion #2. If you can book with someone else I would.
