Thousand Islands Bridge
The Thousand Islands International Bridge (French: Pont des Mille-îles) is an American-maintained international bridge system over the Saint Lawrence River connecting northern New York in the United States with southeastern Ontario in Canada. Constructed in 1937, with additions in 1959, the bridges span the Canada–US border in the middle of the Thousand Islands region.
Boldt Castle and the Boldt Yacht House
Construction began on Boldt Castle in 1900 at the bidding of millionaire hotel magnate George C. Boldt as a tribute to his beloved wife Louise. Boldt Castle was designed as their summer dream home. A castle rivaling those of Europe, built on the St. Lawrence River, in the heart of the 1000 Islands. However it was not to be, Mrs. Boldt passed away suddenly just months before the completion of the castle. Mr. Boldt was inconsolable and immediately stopped all construction on Heart Island, leaving the property vacant for over seventy years.

Took my two teen daughters and the loved it! The castle was so exciting and provided lots of great photo opportunities. Be sure to catch the 16 min video about the history on the second floor. Very tasty burger and fries down at the dock. Boat ride was nice and enjoyed the commentary. Be sure to arrive early if you want a seat outside as filled up really fast. Would recommend.

We really had a wonderful time on the cruise. Wondering what 5 hours would be like. 1 1/2 hours to Boldt Castle with a 2 hour stay there and 1 1/2 hour back. It was perfectly timed the sailing on the 1000 island was so nice and relaxing. The stop at the Boldt Castle was so nice and perfectly timed. The boat was comfortable and the staff was so nice. I like that they combined the tour with Boldts cast because the Castle was amazing and the break was great being off of the water. Seeing all the islands and beautiful homes on the islands was so amazing. This is the tour to take.

The castle is a great experience. However, getting onto the island was a bit of a debacle due to immigration. Only two immigration officers were working with a whole Cruise. Getting off the boat. So a lot of time was wasted which could’ve been better utilized. Looking over the grounds. Other than that cruise was great.

Nice way to see the islands and learn a bit of history/facts about the Thousand islands. Snack bar is a nice touch. A little coaching to the registration desk that does the check in to be friendlier. It might be just a work for you, but occasional smile and good manners can go the long way and set the tone for the entire trip.
