  • An Unforgettable Experience with the Expert Team

Our 9-day safari was an absolute dream come true, exceeding every expectation. This was thanks to the exceptional team of Jerome, our trip advisor, and Jacob, our incredible guide. Our Guide, Jacob: A Master of the Bush & Wildlife Interpreter Jacob was the heart and soul of our adventure. His profound knowledge, sharp eyes, and incredible intuition transformed every game drive into a thrilling series of discoveries. We didn't just see animals; we witnessed breathtaking, intimate moments of the wild: · The raw power of lions mating and baboons mating. · The serene joy of elephants taking a shower in a mud puddle. · The graceful presence of giraffes and the critical sighting of rhinos. · The heart-pounding drama of a cheetah hunt and the subsequent rare sight of cheetahs with their babies, eating a gazelle. · The elusive beauty of leopards sleeping peacefully on trees. Jacob is knowledgeable and vividly explaining the behaviors behind everything we saw. He masterfully positioned the vehicle to give us an unobstructed view for our pictures. Furthermore, he expertly managed our time, always discussing options with us and accommodating our interests to ensure we made the most of each day. Jacob is an excellent and assured driver. He safely navigated challenging terrain and sudden, extreme weather, ensuring we always felt secure. During longer transfers between parks, he kept the journey engaging with humorous stories and insightful chatter, ensuring the time was never boring. Our Trip Advisor, Jerome: The Architect of a Seamless Journey From the first inquiry, Jerome was phenomenal. Despite a significant time difference, his responses were incredibly quick, detailed, and helpful. He took our ideas and crafted a perfectly customized itinerary that matched our pace and interests. Every logistical detail was handled flawlessly, allowing us to relax and immerse ourselves in the experience from arrival. In summary, Jerome built the perfect framework for our trip, and Jacob brought it to life with unparalleled skill and passion. We cannot recommend this duo highly enough for a personalized, insightful, and magical safari.

Amazing trip! We did a 9 days private tour: Seven full days of safari and one cultural day in the kilimamjaro foothills. We fell in love with the nature, the animals and the sunrises. Our driver Noru, made this trip very special. He was one of us; opened and friendly but also humble and respectful. He taught us everything about the animals and their life (very scientifically knowledgeable), the local traditions and even about himself. For us, We thought the driver was the most important in the safari to spot the animals, to have a great conversation and to learn about it. Noru was great! We saw all the big five, hunting, eating and even a new born gazelle giving the first steps. There were really special moments and Noru was always focused to spot the next moment. The accommodations were always clean, not a single insect in the tent, the food was safe, and the beds very confortable; needed for a good rest as the days are long with the game drives. Meru slopes has been a great choice; We wanted to have a Tanzanian tour operator. We didn’t want any foreign company as this was a way for us to support the local economy. They were always very responsive, reliable and on time. They adjust the trip to our wishes and They did a very good planing. I would definitely recommend everyone Meru slopes and specially, Noru as the driver.

We had a fantastic experience with Meru Slopes! The contact with Kelvin was very good from the beginning – he took our wishes into account excellently and adapted the safari completely according to our ideas. The deposit went through an international bank transfer without any problems, and we were able to make the final payment in cash on site. Kelvin was always available via WhatsApp and responded quickly to our requests. Even during the safari he immediately took care of a spontaneous change request and implemented everything according to our ideas. The welcome at the airport was warm and professional, so we immediately felt welcome. The safari itself was simply indescribable! Our guide Floridi was one of the reasons why this trip became a highlight for us. He was extremely competent, communicative and always had a humorous saying ready. With his friendly nature and extensive knowledge of nature and animals, he made sure we were well looked after at all times. The wildlife was simply breathtaking – we were incredibly lucky to see the Big Five: Lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes and rhinos. But that’s not all – we could also observe many other impressive animals, such as giraffes, zebras, hippos and many more. It was a unique experience we will never forget. The accommodations were very comfortable, and the food was excellent. We particularly enjoyed lunch with the spade basket – a great idea that enriched our safari experiences even further. Overall, it was a dream trip with incredible impressions, perfectly organized by Meru Slopes and accompanied by Floridi. We can highly recommend Meru Slopes and Floridi to anyone planning a safari!

We are recently returned from a 9 day private safari in Tanzania with our two teenage children. Meru Slopes and our guide, Salehe, delivered the most amazing experience and we have recommended them to all of our friends and family. All aspects of the safari were well organised from arrival to departure. The accomodation at each location surpassed our expectations. Each accomodation was situated to fully enjoy the natural surrounds, waking up to find a herd of around 50 elephants outside our cabin in the Serengeti was a highlight! The food was delicious at every meal, including the ample lunches provided for our game drives. Every location on the Safari was unique in terms of natural habitat and ecology. We enjoyed learning about Massai culture in our village visit. Salehe went above and beyond to make our safari experience unforgettable. His many years of experience was evident in finding the most elusive animals and navigating the sometimes difficult 4WD tracks. HIs knowledge of local flora and fauna was exceptional. He organised a surprise birthday celebration for our son who turned 17 in the Serengeti which was a special night for us all. We were all sad to say goodbye to him at the end of our safari. Thank you Salehe and Geoffrey for the most wonderful introduction to Tanzania!!

Always passionate about Africa and safari, we can say that we had one of our best experiences with Meru Slope. We had a guide, Robert, very attentive and passionate, who made us enjoy the sight of many lions, cheetahs, a splendid leopard observed walking around the jeep and on the surrounding rocks and a superb passage of wildebeests on the Mara river. The chef Gedeon, with a skilful use of local ingredients and spices, gave us excellent breakfasts, lunches and dinners. In addition to the skill and professionalism of our guides, we appreciated their availability and friendliness. We highly recommend MERU SLOPES for a safari in Tanzania. We visited Arusha Nationan Park, Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Manyara N.P..

We did an 8 night tour (4 in a tent inside the Serengeti). We left Arusha and visited Arusha National Park, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti. In particular in the Serengeti we also saw the migration of the wildebeest and the crossing of the Mara river. Everything very well organised. The guide Robert is very good and helpful. The cuisine of the good chef Gideon is also excellent Only the accommodation at the Jambo Lodge (they live near Lake Manyara) needs improvement Meru Slopes is truly an excellent tour operator for Tanzania. Geofrey from Meru slopes provided us with a great safari to four regions of Tanzania, Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, and Lake Manyara. They were prompt in picking up and dropping off our group of 13 friends from Kilimanjaro airport, that all came in at different times. I don't think we could have picked a better safari company for our group of photographers. Their guides were all very knowledgable and friendly. They really knew the territory and were all well-versed with the flora and fauna of the areas they took us to. We were always well looked after and got to photograph so many great large animals and birds. Everyone felt that this was a trip of a life-time made all the better with Geofrey and Meru Slopes. We stayed at very nice lodges and tented facilities throughout. Some were just outstanding. A couple were just OK but trying to be close to the areas with the animals we wanted to photograph without lots of driving forced us with some compromise. We also were visiting at the high season so that had to be taken into account. All of us came away with photographs of a lifetime. Meru Slopes is owned by Geofrey Nassari, a local Tanzania man so we were going with locals and not a foreign owned safari company. Our head guide, Emanuel, has been doing this for over 30 years! He knew what we wanted to shoot and were to go. We would not hesitate to recommend Meru Slopes! In reviewing the trip at the end with Geofrey, our only comment was to be a little bit more prompt in getting back to us with answers to our questions before the trip.

We went on our Honeymoon with Meru Slopes & Tours for a 8 day Safari. 5 stars is not enough, I would give you 100 stars if I could! We did our Safari with Jacob, who had been not just our guide but a real friend. The service given by Meru from the very first contact has been more than 5 stars. We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, local Masai tribe, local village tour and the Materuni Waterfalls and coffee plantation. Every day has been like a dream and we had the best experience we could dream off. Jacob does everything to spot the animals and has eyes like a robot. All accommodations were beautiful and of a high standard. Great and delicious lunches and amazing dinners. I would like to once again thank Meru Slopes and Geoffrey for the great experience and a special BIG BIG thank you to my friend Jacob (Jambo, Jambo bwana). All the best ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
