Trip was great and our guide Pete did a fantastic job. Unfortunately, the seas were rough and our boat ride was canceled that day. Can’t control the weather, but it did put a damper on some of what would’ve been a wonderful trip. We did make up for it with a wonderful lunch at Caldera Estates Wine Vineyard, which I just recently opened up, will provide pick up/drop off, and has absolutely amazing views and food.

Thank you Stephanie! Had an amazing time despite the weather wasn’t great. Stephanie was very thoughtful and did excellent job to make sure everyone in the tour was comfortable and well taken care of.

The whole day was memorable. Akaroa is a charming coastal (tourist) village, lots of beautiful gardens with the homes. The trip out on the water to see the Hector's dolphins (we saw many and had many opportunities for pictures), seals, including pups, and the coastal landscape, including caves, was all exilerating. The information shared by the boat operators was excellent. It helped that we had the very best sunny weather! I want to give a special shout out to our guide for the day - Scotty. I have taken a number of day trips from Christchurch now and Scotty takes the prize hands down in terms of depth and breadth of knowledge he shared in an accessible and entertaining way. He was just as good in answering off the cuff questions on our way home. All in all a memorable day!

The tour was canceled. They were in contact with me the entire time and made other suggestions and accommodations for me and my time frame. Sad but the tour I ended up taking was very enjoyable. thank you
