In this tour we will visit the wonderful town of Alberobello (also known as the city of trulli) and Matera
Alberobello was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996 because it is an exceptional example of building construction with prehistoric techniques that have survived intact and are still functioning in the modern world.
A "Trullo" is in fact a small limestone house, made with dry stone walls, roughly worked limestone blocks collected from nearby fields and topped with a conical roof.
Souvenir shops, B&Bs, bars and restaurants will brighten up your stay in Alberobello.
Matera is the city of the Sassi, the original urban nucleus, developed from natural caves dug into the rock and subsequently modeled into increasingly complex structures within two large natural amphitheatres that are the Sasso Caveoso and the Sasso Barisano.

This is not a guided tour. You get a book with QR codes to get a map. The map is difficult to navigate with. However, we enjoyed seeing the two villages. The bus ride was comfortable.

Great day out. Enjoyed every moment. We did not use the guided tour but the booklet provided was more than adequate to give us the information on each place

This tour was the most professional of all the tours I have taken with various companies including over the years. Brochures were provided along with QR codes that guided us step by step on the sites we visited. I highly recommend them for their traveling needs
