You arrive in Yerevan, and you're met by our Feel Armenia team. Welcome to Armenia! You will be transferred to your hotel. As you will be quite tired after the flight(s), we haven't planned anything for this day. Instead, you will stay at the hotel, relax and get prepared for the upcoming days. What is next?

Yerevan - Khor Virap - St Gayane Church - St. Hripsime Church – Etchmiadzin - Zvartnots - Yerevan

Khor Virap

It dates back to the end of the 3rd century, when Saint Gregory the Illuminator suffered persecution for spreading the Christian faith. His place of imprisonment and suffering was Khor Virap Monastery, a sacred site that stands today with breathtaking views of biblical Mount Ararat. From here, Christianity spread throughout the land, eventually leading to the establishment of the Holy See of Echmiadzin, the spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

Saint Gayane Church

Discover the Spiritual City of Echmiadzin Echmiadzin, the spiritual heart of Armenia, invites you to explore the roots of Christianity. Here you’ll find the historic churches of St. Gayane and St. Hripsime, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These sacred landmarks are dedicated to the three virgins who bravely preached Christianity in the late 3rd century. Just a short distance away lies the Mother See of Echmiadzin, the spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

Zvartnots Temple

Just outside Echmiadzin stands the awe-inspiring ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral, a 7th-century architectural masterpiece. The Monastery of Geghard

Start your morning with a touch of spirituality at the Geghard Monastery, where the serene atmosphere and morning liturgy create a perfect harmony of soul and mind. Dating back to the 4th century, Geghard is one of Armenia’s greatest architectural and cultural treasures, carved partly into the surrounding cliffs. Its powerful presence and sacred history leave a lasting impression. After this moving experience, continue your journey to Garni.

Garni Temple

Before adopting Christianity, Armenians practiced paganism—and the only surviving monument from that era still stands today: the Temple of Garni. Depart ti Ashtarak and visit the small yet remarkable Karmravor Church, dating back to the 7th century. Known for its red-tiled dome, from which it gets its name (Karmravor means “reddish”), this well-preserved gem is one of Armenia’s oldest standing churches. Despite its modest size, it carries great historical and spiritual significance, offering a glimpse into early Armenian Christian architecture.

Depart to the 13th-century Saghmosavank Monastery, dramatically located on the edge of the Kasagh River Gorge. Known as the “Monastery of the Psalms”, it was once a vital spiritual and educational center of medieval Armenia.     The tour was excellent & nicely arranged by Feel Armenia. Lida was in continuous contact right from the booking till end of the tour. Tamara was our guide for the trip and an amazing person. She took care of all the day to day program & was accommodating to our requests going above & beyond meeting our expectations. She shared good info & history of all the places we visited. She even suggested different itinerary & location suiting to our needs and Feel Armenia accommodated the changed itinerary without any additional charges. Was a memorable trip indeed. Best wishes.
