Apollonia is definitely worth a visit. But it is quite a long way from Tirana; I had made the mistake of entering only "droughts" into the satnav beforehand and not Apollonia. Still, it was great there. We even met free turtles. The view of the sea and the sunset was also very nice in the evening. Nicely the chef prepared us something else, although it was quite late and the kitchen had actually closed. Clean facility! Admission was 6 euros per person.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our tour of Apollonia. We were especially pleased to have Julia as our tour guide once again. Fascinating conversation to and from the site made the excursion even more enjoyable. Thank you.

Historically, a very interesting old excavation site. You are not allowed to touch anything (outside area is not very well supervised) but you can walk a little over the old walls - a great feeling for people who are fascinated by antiquity. However, at the equivalent of €8, it is relatively expensive for what you can see. It is probably mainly for the integrated museum (with many excavation pieces from different centuries). There is also a café on site, which was closed in March. There are also street dogs here (unobtrusive) and a flock of sheep grazing in the upper area. It was a successful trip.
