I was disappointed by the tour. I think most of your experience really depends on the tour guide. The one that we had was just ok, he was knowledgeable but not very "fun" to explain the different aspects of the sky, stars and others, which is needed at 10:30pm!! I say this as a person that really enjoys learning, but really he was not motivating to me. The location of the tour is ok as well, it should be farther out of San Pedro, so the town lights do not affect visibility. Lastly, the photos weren't really good, the photographer should have cautioned that glasses would reflect the flash, the faces are just ok, also you can see truck lights in the photo. The best thing was to see Saturn with the telescope and the food. I would recommend a different tour, ask your hotel or ask in San Pedro for a tour w/ a good tour guide, and where is the exact location they will be taking you.

The guides were passionate and very knowledgeable. Through three telescopes, we saw a wide variety of objects, including two different galaxies, the brightest star, and Saturn (with its beautiful ring). Throughout the tour, there were very interesting explanations and plenty of opportunities to ask questions. The photos were an added bonus, and we enjoyed the snacks as well. Thank you so much! It was very interesting even though it had some clouds in the sky and was full moon. You have seen a lot and the explanations about the stars very professional

Most of the time of the experience is spent waiting around to look through the two telescopes as each person in the group takes their turn. You look at circa 4 stars/clusters in each scope. You have an explanation from the leader and the secondary leader, who translates into English, before looking at the stars. About 15-20 minutes of the activity was spent picking people up from hotels and it was then about a 10-15 minutes ride to the site. It was a similar time for the return journey. The leader spoke Spanish and a secondary leader translated into English. The explanation was good although at times the leader started speaking next to his telescope to people looking through it or explaining things to several people and the secondary leader could not translate as he was busy with people looking through his scope. The stargazing was brief due to the waiting around. I probably had 3-4 minutes in total looking at stars. You do receive a good quality photograph taken at the end of the experience. Food was also provided after we looked at the stars. However we were abruptly told we had to leave after all photographs were taken with no warning. If you want a good quality photo of yourself with the stars then the tour is worth it. For others, you can have a longer and similar output if you set up a phone, with night vision, or a good mirrorless camera on a tripod and use an app to view the constellations via your phone. You could also take good quality photos with some practice . You could rent a car to do this or find a spot just outside San Pedro with little to no light pollution.

The stars were gorgeous but we were the only 3 English speakers in the group and didn’t realize we would be in a group with mostly Spanish speakers. The guide was bilingual but spent most of the time speaking Spanish so sometimes we didn’t know what we were looking at when he was pointing at starts with the laser. The English parts felt rushed. How good your experience is will probably depend on what guide you get.

It was wonderful all the talk and observation with the telescope. Seeing the moon and constellations was magical. To see the stars in your photos more definitely it is necessary to look at the lunar calendar (with a lot of moons are not seen), for those next visitors.

It was a real delight to see the stars on this tour and the cherry on the cake is taken by Patricio, our guide, who explained with all patience, passion and detail everything we could see. Such an experience changes radically for the good when you have a guide as prepared as Patrick.

A hole!! Bad organization, old vehicle, driver c incompatible speed, place more like a stable. Tired explanations and obsolete observation devices. Anyway! An absolute waste of time
