It is unique experience in San Pedro de Atacama, one of the clearest skies in the world.
We will start with an exploration of the night sky by the naked eye with a glass of red Chilean wine or pisco sour.
Then we are going to observe some deep-sky objects through the telescopes and look at different objects in our Galaxy and in the Universe.
We also shoot some pictures with the stars and Milky Way in the background and we are finish with a snack prepared with typical local products plus hot drinks, like tea, coffee and chocolate.
There will be also some blankets available for the cold.

This was a good excursion. We were so lucky that the clouds parted and allowed the tour to continue. The moon was quite bright but nonetheless Alejandro and his team gave a very informative talk, showed us some of the more important things in the sky, let us look through the telescopes at some interesting objects and supplied drinks and food. The whole process worked very smoothly and I would recommend this company.

a great tour! The set up is really good with a knowledgeable bilingual guide (Eng / Esp) and 2 telescopes. Comfy places to sit with drinks and snacks provided along with photos. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone!!

This San Pedro de Atacam stargazing tour was great. The night of our original tour had the moonrise arriving very early so these fine folks offered to either refund or accommodate us another night which we opted to do. I appreciated their honesty and willing to work with us. The night we did go, the moonrise was still a bit early so the guides rearranged the viewing to maximize what we could see. They also helped us take photos of the moon with our phones using telescopes. The guide, I believe it was Alberto, was very informative and knowledgeable about the stars. Excellent time!

It was cloudy and they canceled the tour. They gave us the option to get a refund or attend another night. The next night was cloudy as well and we had to leave the area the following day. They refunded us promptly. They can’t control the weather, but they are certainly honest and accommodating. Despite being cloudy, the guide probably could have tried a bit harder to make the most out of the experience - we could still see some stars and even saw some shooting stars for the few minutes we were there before she put us back on the bus. The guide seemed disappointed that she couldn’t provide the experience that Atacama is known for and that seemed to rub off on some of the guests who preferred to go back and try another night. For me, that gets 4 stars. I think they could have made the most of it and kept our money, but I also respect the guides desire to maintain high standards. Now, a note about astro tours in Atacama in general… it’s my understanding that there are only a couple tours in the area with the telescope technology to find objects that aren’t easily located with the naked eye. If you know about astronomy, that will make some sense. The best tours seem to book up a few weeks out (maybe a couple months). That being said, there isn’t much to do in Atacama at night so drinking wine under the stars without ANY telescope can still be enjoyable. At a minimum, astro tours provide a designated driver into the desert with a place to sit down out of the dust, enjoy the sky, and meet fellow travelers. Enjoy beautiful Atacama. I hope you get clearer skies than we did!

The tour was organized and on-time. Total time was 3 hours (9am pickup, midnight dropoff). The description was slightly misleading as our guide was not an astronomer (I believe she works on outreach and education for children at one of the observatories - also great!). She seemed less comfortable in English so I think the initial introduction that was more of a monologue was harder for her, and sometimes harder for the guests to understand. Once we moved to the telescopes, she became more comfortable and enthusiastic! Overall enjoyable.
