It is a desert area, a geomorphological marvel. Our ancestors called it Las Salinas today known

known worldwide as Valle de la Luna, surrounded by a set of landscapes of incomparable beauty that resemble a

fragment of the lunar landscape to which it owes its name. In 1982 it was declared a Nature Sanctuary and is part of the

Los Flamencos National Reserve in this place you can see a geological spectacle of great interest, especially when

sunrise and sunset.

During your visit you can contemplate: the famous natural formation known by our ancestors as Los Tres

Watchmen today called Las Tres Marías, Duna Mayor; majestic body of sand and viewpoints such as; Quebrada Honda

where the famous Piedra del Coyote (Mirador de Ckari) is located.

Valle De La Luna

The Valley of the Moon is a valley in the Los Flamencos National Reserve, in the Atacama Desert, in northern Chile. We will also visit the Amphitheater, Duna Mayor, 3 Marías and the Ckari Viewpoint - Piedra del Coyote

A walk is made to climb the largest dune, of approx. 800mts....it is a central point from where you have a panoramic view and we will appreciate the Andes Mountain Range, amphitheater, salt mountain range, etc.

Short tour for few hours, little hiking involved but not strenuous at all. Great views. The pickup location was centrally located.

A great tour of Valle de la Luna. Felipe was very knowledgeable and took us on a route that showed us some of the best views. Other groups we saw were taken a different way, missing out on some of the best sites . We went on a day that was forecast to rain later so the itinerary was brought forward by a couple of hours. The company communicated this to everyone so nobody missed out. The tour itself is stunning and not to be missed!
