Tirta Empul Temple
Tirta Empul temple is a Hindu Balinese water temple located near the town of Tampaksiring, Bali. The temple compound consists of a petirtaan or bathing structure, famous for its holy spring water, where Balinese Hindus go to for ritual purification. The temple pond has a spring which gives out fresh water regularly, which Balinese Hindus consider to be holy or amritha. Tirta Empul means Holy Spring in Balinese.
Besakih Temple
Pura Besakih is a temple complex in the village of Besakih on the slopes of Mount Agung in eastern Bali. It is considered as the most important temple, the largest and the holiest temple of Hindu religion in Bali, and one of a series of Balinese temples. Perched nearly 1000 meters up the side of Gunung Agung, it is an extensive complex of 23 separate but related temples with the largest and most important being Pura Penataran Agung. The temple is built on six levels, terraced up the slope.

3.00We were very excited about this tour, but it wasn't as expected. The driver was an hour and a half late. This was partly because he went to the wrong hotel but mostly because I think they forgot our booking. The driver was shocked that we had been waiting since 0830, an indication that even he didn't know the agreed meeting time. We did get to see all four temples, but the locals tried to force us to buy clothing to wear in the temple, vice giving us covering as part of the entrance fee like everywhere else. The tour guide sat by while we were being extorted and didn't intervene. We were very unhappy.

5.00Visited Goa Gajah, Tirta Empul and Besakih temples with Wi from Be Balinese tours. The temples were unique and have a great history. Wi was explaining all the details to us. We loved the tour.
