Gothic Quarter (Barri Gotic)
Meet your local English-speaking guide and begin your journey through Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. Kick off the evening at a historic bar with a cold local beer and your first taste of authentic tapas. As you stroll through the atmospheric medieval streets, you’ll learn about the area’s rich history and hidden corners. Your next stop is a family-run bar, where you’ll sample Catalan cold cuts and the beloved pa amb tomàquet, paired with a glass of wine — just like the locals do.
Next, step into the heart of the Jewish Quarter, where a hidden bodega with a charming cellar awaits. Sip on a glass of vermut or cava and dive into a delicious spread of homemade croquettes, patatas bravas, padrón peppers, and sausage in cider sauce. Along the way, you’ll uncover stories of the neighborhood’s layered history and learn how these flavors reflect Barcelona’s culinary traditions.

Came in early and had checking booking. I get there in town early. I have the tickets and confirmation. We get there and we’re not on the list. I showed all proof and they were like we don’t have it sorry go find something else to do. I called tour company and explained my proof and we got there early for this and how this was my elderly mother’s present. They gave zero cares. Only got to take the tour when someone else did not show up. Tour co obviously overbooked and lied tried to blame others. Places toured were great but the whole experience was rough. The co had my cc billed awhile ago and it never showed cancelled in the app. Be aware.

We had a lovely guide, Lili. The actual venues we stopped at were very interesting, but the food was very lack lustre and was not worth the amount we paid.

What a great food tour with tour guide Liliana. I highly recommend this tour to visit the Gothic Quarter and to experience the food, the history with a wonderful group of people. The tapas food and matching wine was excellent. The meeting point was easy to find. This was the last tour of our 12 day vacation and it was a highlight! Thank you for being the best tour of the vacation!
