Alan was friendly, informative and passionate about sharing Barcelona’s history. He had great communication and relationships with the merchants and restaurants owners; which enhanced our experience and made us feel special.

Alan was just awesome! He had made reservations at 3 different tapas restaurants. He made wonderful recommendations too. Drinks and food included! Alan was very knowledgeable about the city and food. I was in a mobility scooter and he picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel. The day of our tour happened to be our 39th anniversary and he even bought us a souvenir made by a local artisan! Alan made it an excellent excursion which I highly recommend!

Lots of walking. Very personalized to our tastes and walking speed. Great overview of Barcelona on our first visit to the city. Great introduction to local food customs. Our guide Pau did his best to explain his love and admiration for his home of Catalonia

I booked this tour as a surprise gift for my parents to celebrate our trip together. Before booking, I was sent a detailed survey asking about our specific interests in food, music and culture. I spent a lot of time filling it out carefully excited to create a special experience. Based on the survey and the price, I was expecting a curated, personalized afternoon that reflected what I shared. Unfortunately the tour didn’t match what was promised and what I had hoped to give them. Very little cultural or historical engagement. While Frederico was polite, the cultural context was minimal. He briefly pointed out a Roman wall and a few sites in passing, but didn’t explain much, and we often had to ask about things ourselves. When telling Frederico about things we really wanted to see, there didn’t seem like there was much effort to adapt or incorporate any of these elements we were hoping to experience. We didn’t have much choice in the tapas we were served at the first stop and then at the second stop, the waiter was rude to Frederico which made things uncomfortable for us. The third stop was dessert which we didn’t really want to eat because we were expecting more Tapas on a tapas tour lol. Federico was friendly, but very quiet and much of the experience was awkward unless we made conversation ourselves. There wasn’t the energy, enthusiasm, or storytelling that I expected from a cultural and food-focused walking tour. This was supposed to be a special, thank you gift for my family, and I was so disappointed that it ended up feeling unorganized, impersonal, and not reflective of anything I shared in the survey.
