  I booked this bus tour to Barranquilla expecting a more engaging and immersive experience, but unfortunately it wasn’t what I expected. The tour started off poorly as we were picked up late, which already put things behind schedule. A large portion of the day was spent sitting on the bus, with limited time actually exploring or experiencing the city. Most of the sightseeing consisted of making brief stops to view the statues, so if your main interest is doing a bus tour focused on statues and quick photo opportunities, this tour might be for you. However, it didn’t feel very interactive or well-paced. The shopping portion was also disappointing. We were taken to a mall and given only 45 minutes, which felt rushed and didn’t offer anything particularly unique or local. Overall, the tour lacked depth and variety, and I left feeling like I spent more time commuting than truly discovering Barranquilla. I wouldn’t recommend this tour if you’re looking for a more authentic or hands-on experience of the city.

  Very good experience. Great food, we visited all the stops and we knew Puerto Colombia and Barranquilla. Our guide Jhon Fredyz explained very well the historical context of each place and monument. I definitely recommend it.

  The tour is mostly going down in monuments, statues etc to take your picture, there is a snack initially and in the afternoon a meal, then visit a shopping center. The boys were attentive and organized but too serious for my taste, it seemed they were already doing it by routine, I have done other tours in Cartagena and are quite different, but they were never rude, on the contrary very patient

  Today we tour from Cartagena to Barranquilla, accompanied by young Jhon Fredys, who was our guide. He was noted for his attention, cordiality and respect throughout. He handled the tour times excellently and gave us very good recommendations to fully enjoy the tour. Your accompaniment made this experience a pleasant and very well organized tour.

  When booking this trip, I was very impressed by the reviews that I saw and trusted we would have a good experience. However, after experiencing this tour, I can not say expectations were met at all. From the beginning, booking said we would be picked up in our hotel and at 7 am. We were even messaged by the guide reminding us of this. However, we were picked up 40 minutes later and had to walk to a different spot to be picked up. Our guide, Javier, was incredibly unprofessional. We were expecting to learn a bit about all of the places we were stopping at but his explanation was simply to tell us the name of the place we were at and how long we could be there for. We only learned the history of one of the places and it was barely 2-3 sentences of information he found on Google. He also spent most of the time talking with one of the tourists in our group and adding each other on social media + taking pictures with her at some of the stops. Nothing I have ever experience on any tour I've ever been on. The van we were in was also broken. One of the doors would not open so we were only able to leave the vehicle through another door which was very uncomfy to get to. Being in the car for such a long time, you'd expect to be able to relax, but our tour guide was also constantly watching Tiktoks/Youtube videos with full volume even while people were trying to sleep. The atmosphere was very uncomfortable and awkward with all of this. The last stop, which was the Buenavista mall that I had been excited about since family and friends had told us this is the biggest mall in the city, we were only able to spend 30 minutes in there. We were not told that we could access other sides of the mall through bridges so when we were exploring the mall, we were only able to see a part of it. With the time limit we had too, it was hard to really explore the mall like you would want to. Once in the mall too, our guide left with the one tourist to get some ice cream. It would've been nice for him to at least actually guide us and let us know all the spots we could've seen in the mall. All in all, I can not recommend this tour at all. I think if we would've gotten a different tour guide, maybe it could've been enjoyable, but unfortunately that was not our case.

• Barranquilla is worth it

  It was a nice trip. Very nice to see next to Bogota, Medelin, and Cartagena now also Barranquilla as the crow flies. Our guide Jhon Fredyz was a professional guide who spoke good English and arranged the whole day well. It was definitely worth going to Barranquilla for a day.
