Long day but beautiful vistas. I would cut out the boat ride piece and replace with more time in German forest area expanding the last stop

Michal was our tour guide and did a fantastic job. He picked us up at our hotel punctually as he did with the other guests. Michal was informative, patient, and well organized. We received a snack bag upon entering the van. The van was comfortable and had WiFi. The 1st hike was the longest and hardest, 3 miles each way to an old Czech lodge built into the hillside. We stopped for a drink with an amazing view. Our lunch stop was at a Czech restaurant that served authentic food and drink. The gorge was a short hike, and the boat ride was about 20 minutes up and back on the Elba River, where it is in a narrow. The Bastei Bridge was a spectacular stop with a short, mostly paved hike. Michal took us to multiple viewpoints for a panoramic view of the sandstone formations and the widened Elba River. He took group and individual photos for us throughout the day. I have a hip issues, and was able to do all the hikes with my hiking poles. Additional hiking poles were available from the operator. We returned to Prague after hiking over 10 miles, and it was a 13 hour tour. The tour was a great way to see some of the Czech and a German NP. We highly recommend this tour, and Michal was an amazing guide.

I did the option that was more active and I have to say there is certainly a bit of a climb but it was a nice day out and I would absolutely do it again, just remember once you make it to the top of the first stop it doesn't get worse but make sure you're ready based off what they put in the description. It was a great day out there were 5 of us in total which felt like a good number, the views were great, the lunch was good and our guide was helpful, informative, and made sure that everyone was doing alright offering to make stops if we wanted them for the longer portions of the drive for things like coffee or ice cream. The water and snacks he provided were also good (our total distance seemed to be about 20-23k steps and 10ish miles with quite a bit of it being uphill and downhill)

The hiking trip was rather demanding physically, but the spectacular landscape is worth the effort to visit these two national parks. Our guide, Michal Baar did an excellent job in explaining to us all the landmarks, extremely helpful during our hike, and was very patient to look up information in his cell phone about the plants (trees and flowers) we saw along the hiking path. He picked us up at 7:30 am and drove us back to the hotel before 8 pm. He took us to a local restaurant for lunch and helped us to order the best local foods. We are very happy to have him as our guide. Strongly recommend this trip!!
