- Of course, we can’t forget French cheese! You’ll taste the finest local cheeses and learn what it takes to make world-class cheese from a top cheesemonger.

We absolutely recommend this tour. With Joshua we learned about the city, culture and food of Bordeaux. Having breakfast beforehand was a mistake as the tour included many foods to try. The market is vibrant, noisy and fascinating. With our guide, we learned much more about it than we would have by ourselves.

What an incredible experience! I make it a point to take a food tour in every city I visit and this one was of the best, most comprehensive experiences I’ve ever had. I learned so much about the various pieces of Bordeaux history, (ex. the city used to be covered in black soot and some buildings still are due to the expense and complexity involved in cleaning them. They have to use lasers to clean the intricate details of the churches!) different cheeses and how they’re made, and of course wine! You can tell the tour was put together by people who really know their stuff and all the best local spots in the city.

Great for all ages. Minimal amount of walking.. Joshua was a great guide. Gave us so much information about the history of the foods we were tasting. The cheeses were amazing and the sweets delicious Two of us had mussels for the first time. We were a group of five. Two couples traveling together and one young woman. Would definitely recommend.

Our guide, Keke was wonderful with our family (2 adults and 3 kids under 8). We explored the Plade de la Victoria and walked toward the Capucin market. Tasted some delicious specialties across this tour. The group was small, and paced just right for our family. Really a nice way to explore this part of Bordeaux and would recommend to any families looking to get a taste of some highlights of the area!

Josh is an amazing tour guide! His knowledge of local food and produce was unmatched. My partner and I had the best time getting to know the area through the market food tour. Thank you for some great memories. From Liverpool!

Had the best time on this tour thanks to Joshua! We like to try a different walking tour on every trip we go on, and sometimes they can feel a bit long but this one was extra fun and flew by. Felt more like getting a private tour of the city from a friend !! Joshua mixed cool and interesting Bordeaux history with the amazing local food. We hit quite a few stops and we were soooooo full by the end!! I would 10/10 reccomend. Thanks for a great time :)
