  From start to finish it was an amazing day. From our first stop for coffee at Anglesea right through to our last stop at the Gorge this tour was outstanding. Crazy weather throughout the day from sunshine to torrential downpours with hail didn’t detract from the wonderful experience courtesy of Joe our driver who could not have been more helpful, very knowledgeable around the history in regards to the Great Ocean Road and the towns we passed through and stopped at during the day. Lunch of fish and chips in Apollo Bay was lovely, a crazy downpour caught us all off guard in the rainforest but we dried out quickly in the super warm van. Highlights definitely The Apostles and the Gorge. Highly recommend this tour group as it is small and intimate. Thanks Joe we thoroughly enjoyed our day with you despite the many seasons we experienced.

  Wow, this has been an absolutely amazing experience that I have not enough words to describe how complete was this tour! Also, Paul and all the tour guides were so welcoming, friendly, and so attentive during all tour!!! I've seen some amazing spots, that on another tour I would't had spot them. I highly recommend booking this tour if you want nice people giving you a complete and amazing tour! Thanks for all the amazing stuff I've had along the way! Every single thing since the beginning was an incredible experience!!! Every single detail.. thanks a lot! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

  A full day of exploring the Great Ocean Road with our exceptional guide Joe. The 12 apostles were the highlight, but other sights away from the crowds added to the enjoyment.

  We had an amazing time on this trip!! Our guide, Paul was absolutely fantastic from the moment we met him at 06:45 in the morning at the City meeting point. He popped round to the closest bakery before we started the trip and bought everyone a lovely hot doughnut.. ;) This was a long day, but Paul's enthusiasm, knowledge and energy ensured that we were always fully engaged whilst he shared his endless knowledge and history of Australia, Melbourne and the Great Ocean Road. He was attentive and passionate with the information he provided throughout the 14 hours that we were together. We stopped for coffee (which he paid for), we stopped for a lovely fish and chip lunch (which he paid for), we stopped to see Koalas in their natural habitat, we saw Kangaroos and a Wallaby whilst we were driving along in the very comfortable Mercedes Van and his narration and stories were excellent throughout the trip. Even on our way back, when we unfortunately sat in a traffic jam for an hour or so, we had some really good discussions about music and debated some of the bands from the 80's, both Australian and English. The free flowing conversation and Paul's attention to detail made this experience really worthwhile and we would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a smaller, personalised trip with a fantastic guide. Book it, you will love it!!!

  We had an absolutely wonderful tour of the Great Ocean Road with George from Escape Discovery Adventures. The company focuses on boutique style tours with really small groups (tours have 11 people or less). Boy did they deliver for us! Evidently the other groups who had booked the same tour cancelled, so my husband and I received a wonderful private tour at small group tour prices. Props to Escape Discovery Adventure for not cancelling the tour due to insufficient numbers! The entire day was marvelous. It started with an on-time pickup in a comfortable minivan. We had an unscheduled stop to snap photos of a lighthouse and walk on the beach, drove along back roads hunting for koalas in the "wild" (I found one!), had a yummy lunch of fish and chips at a fisherman's cooperative that was followed by an easy walk through a temperate rain forest in Great Otway National Park, where the ferns grew as large as most trees - and the "real" trees were towering giants. The highlight of the trip, of course, was the Twelve Apostles which didn't disappoint. The scenery is indescribably wild and beautiful and we had such a wonderful day for it. George is an amazing tour guide, funny and with good information and great stories he makes the tour seem like a day out with a good friend. I couldn't recommend more highly. If you only do 1 tour in Melbourne, make it this one.
