This was our second trip with Alfonso and Malaga Activa, having previously walked Torcal de Antequera with him last year and we were not disappointed. As is clear from the description, this is a small group tour and we were picked up at the rendevous point on time and then taken on a great day out. The Caminito del Rey is genuinely spectacular and absolutely worth visiting if you have the opportunity. Yes, there are heights but my partner who is really not good with them really enjoyed the experience. What seems to set Malaga Activa aside is Alfonso's knowledge of the area, its history and obvious love of the nature there. The next time we are in Malaga, we will have no hesitation in walking with Malaga Activa again.

If you don’t mind heights or a semi-demanding walk, fantastic! We took the small group tour out of Malaga with our enthusiastic guide Alfonso. We even saw a mother mountain goat with a young one. Every corner presented an amazing view. Just to note: the pickup address on Calle Cerezuelo is not the location of the tour company, just a pickup point near the Novotel.

Some stairs up and down but generally fairly easy. Heights spook me so didn’t look down too much. Had my big boy pants on and did fine.

Alfonso made everything about the trip super simple, from communicating with him prior to the trip, the meeting point, the drive to the canyon and of course the trail itself. The trip was very informative and made better by the fact that this was limited to a small group. If you get the chance to go, I would definitely recommend this trip.

Highly recommended…we went to Caminito del Rey in a small group and everything was smooth. The views are stunning. We crossed many big groups in a line of more than 40 people. Happy we chose this tour

The trip in a private van with only 8 people was quick and comfortable. During the whole excursion, Alfonso was known by all the workers at CAMINITO as very knowledgeable and experienced. We enjoyed quick access, a great picnic at the end, and a fast return. Caminito del Rey is wonderful, and I highly recommend it, but please be aware that if you suffer from vertigo, are afraid of heights, or can't walk about 7 km, this excursion might not be for you. Caminito del Rey Small Group Tour from Malaga with Picnic is a great activity

Booked and paid my the extra to have the picnic inclusion. We received one banana, a piece of bread, a slice of manchego and a slice of Serrano ham. This is not a picnic it’s a rip-off. Was it worth having a private guide- no. There is nothing you will miss without. Pre book your €10 entrance ticket and do this yourself. Do not book this trip expecting a lovely picnic lunch experience. It does not exist. Highly disappointed. However the walk was lovely

I would give 6 stars if possible. Alfonso led us through the canyon and explained a lot about the canyon. He was kind and patient. Moved at a thoughtful pace. Communication about tour, pickups, drop offs was consistent and timely.
