What To Expect
Barcelona
Your guide will send you a message the day before to organize the pickup (a nearby location will be sent if the hotel is in a challenging parking spot). The ride to the first winery is an hour long, starting from Barcelona, and the pickup is usually at 9 am. But this might vary depending on other pickups and the tour program.
Artcava
We will start the tour with a visit to Artcava Winery. A small winery located in an old Catalan farmhouse. Where you will learn the elaboration of cava in Penedés, and you will get to taste 3 of their main wine and cavas.

5.00Joan picked us up directly from our hotel and during the drive gave us so much interesting information about wine and general history of the areas we were passing. He is a wealth of knowledge about wine and it was a privilege to have him as our guide. We had a unique experience at each winery which was awesome. Our lunch experience was delicious and relaxed. Would definitely recommend Joan and his tour to anyone that is planning on visiting Barcelona or the surrounding region. He also gave us tips for other sights to see while we were on vacation in Barcelona which was great and he was right about everything he suggested.

5.00We so enjoyed our wine and tapas tour! We booked a group tour but were fortunate to have a private tour with our talented and knowledgable guide. Our guide shared her international culinary knowledge and taught us about tapas and Spanish wines. We learned so much and enjoyed walking through Barcelona neighborhoods to enjoy wonderful tapas and wine. We appreciated her knowledge of both food and wine as well as her willingness to teach us not only about Barcelona culinary culture but how it relates to food and wine in other countries. What a treat! We highly recommend this experience for anyone seeking to learn more about the Barcelona wine and tapas culture.
