Take the scenic cog railway to Montenvers and see the spectacular Mer de Glace, widely considered the most famous glacier in France.

Please dress appropriately for a day in the mountains; even if it is warm and sunny in Geneva, it can be cold and wet in Chamonix or at the top of the Aiguille du Midi and on the Mer de Glace
The operation of the Aiguille du Midi cable car and Mer de Glace train are both subject to local weather conditions on the day, we cannot found out before we arrive in Chamonix, it's a risk to take
Please note there is unplanned maintenance on the Aiguille du midi cable car at the moment, an alternative cable car will be offered with a similar view
If one of the activity closes, there will be alternative offers, or partial refunds, but the transports won't be refunded in any case
Please note that the official currency of France is the EURO. Swiss francs are unlikely to be accepted in Chamonix
A current valid passport is required on the day of travel, as you will be travelling from Geneva (Switzerland) to Chamonix (France)
Please note: guide will be present with you on the bus and the village. You will have free time in the cable car or train and the guide will meet you after.
Please note that if you take the Aiguille du Midi and Mer de Glace options, you will be provided with a multipass. Multipass which gives access to all the facilities of the Mont Blanc company. If you use this Multipass for a single activity, it will be considered by the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc as used and cannot be refunded if the other activities are closed. The Mont Blanc company offers alternative activities but does not authorize refunds of the multipass.
The train ticket includes the ice caves but the opening is never garanteed and depends on the day , we cannot know before if it will be open. If the train is open and not the cave, there is no refund
Please note that due to maintenance works in Chamonix, some attractions will be temporarily closed: Mer de Glace (03.11 - 21.11) & Aiguille du Midi (03.11 - 19.12). Alternative tours will be offered during this period.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

If option selected - Ride up the cable car and discover a spectacular panoramic view of the Chamonix Valley and the French, Swiss and Italian Alps at 3842m ! On a clear day, you may even see the Mattherhorn, the famous Swiss peak and icon of Switzerland – it’s even found on packages of delicious Toblerone chocolate. If it’s open, you can try the unique adventure: "Step into the Void" BREATHTAKING! ( queue can be expected for the step into the void/glass box)

5.00We had a very good guide (Kris). We did the trip in February so need to dress warm. Unfortunately we didn’t get up the Aiguille du Midi due to the second cable car to the top been closed due to the wind so we went up the other side to Brévent. Managed to go into the ice cave which was great to experience. Great town with good places to eat and drink. Bus to and from Geneva was very easy and comfortable.

The responses were quick, detailed, and extremely helpful, which gave us great confidence in choosing this company. The meeting point in Geneva was very easy to find, and everything was very well organised from the moment we arrived. The journey itself was comfortable and stress-free. Our tour guide was outstanding – knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic throughout the day. He shared interesting information without overwhelming us and made the experience engaging and enjoyable. When we arrived in Chamonix, he continued to be excellent, making it clear that we were free to explore independently or stay with him for more guidance. That flexibility was really appreciated. Overall, it was an amazing day and a highlight of our trip. We’re so glad we chose to book this tour through Keytours and would absolutely recommend them to others!

5.00This trip is worth doing. The majestic views of Mont Blanc from Aiguille de Midi, getting clicked in the glass box (Step into the Void) and the wonder of Ice Caves at Mer de Glacé is just mind blowing. Chris our tour guide from KeyTours was very helpful and explained everything so well. Got lucky with the weather. Got clear views of the French Alps and even Matterhorn on the Swiss side.

5.00We visited Chamonix in January 2026 and although it is a bit of a journey through the mountains to get here, we were so glad that we went. To say that Mont Blanc is breath taking is an under statement. It is an image I will remember for the rest of my life. The town of Chamonix is a very well kept town and yes, there are people with ski's but many just go to enjoy the shops and the restaurants of which there are many.

5.00Antonia was great. He was very patient and pleasant. We got lucky with just a small group of 3 couples so it was really nice. He make sure we have enough time on each stops and take enough photos. The view was absolutely spectacular. Highly recommend.
