The basic ticket is only for the coach ride to Chamonix and the guide. You then have to pay a further 97 Francs to go up in the cable car. However it is worth it as the views up there are incredible. You also need your passport as travelling over the border to France although we didn't have to produce it on this occasion. If you want to do the train up the mountain / ice cave that is an extra expense. Chamonix is beautiful but of course you need euros to pay for anything and not Swiss Francs.

The tour is very worthwhile. We really liked the places visited and the attention from the guide. Only thing is, we didn't have time for lunch. I'd do the tour 1 more hr and not run as much

Chamonix is more than just a village. Multiple cable cars to the peaks above. The step into the abyss is a long wait and I'm not sure worth the trouble. Cog train up the mountain is very scenic. Going up, you want to be on the left side. Right for the decline.

Fantastic day visiting Mont Blanc & ice caves. Guide was excellent. (You shouldn't have a minimum # of characters on this - else more likely to give NO review.)

Amazing views and well worth getting the top package But time too short to get full value at the top of the mountain and at the Mer de Glace
