We went on this tour in November and throughly enjoyed it. The day of the tour, the guide met us on time at the bus terminal - there was a total of 8 people on the tour, including one we picked up in Montreux along the way. The total drive time to Zermatt was about 3.5 hours, including a stop along the way at a roadside center with bathrooms and food options. The tour transfers between vehicles several times before arrival due to various license requirements and vehicle limitations in Zermatt. Just outside Zermatt, our tour bus met a taxi bus, which drove us to the outside of the town, where a small electric vehicle met us and brought us to the base of the cable car lifts. The group then separated from there, with those who didn’t pay for the cable car leaving to walk around the town the rest of the day. Ultimately, I think it would be a mistake not to do the cable cars, which was the highlight of the entire trip. It was a fascinating experience that brings up the mountain with stellar views and various food and bathroom options along the way. Of note, the guide did not join on the cable cart part, so you’re on your own - but you do get a map and other informational materials, which was sufficient for our purposes. Just make sure to dress warm - even during the day in November, it was -20 C. We spent about 3 hours up there, including 30 minutes travel each way. That left about 2 hours to explore the town, including a stop for lunch, which we felt was more than enough time. The town is not that big, so I honestly don’t know what others in the group who didn’t do the cable cars managed to occupy their time with for the 5 hours we had available to us there. We were asked to meet back at the taxi location by a specified time, which everyone in the group did. We were then on our way back by shortly after 4PM - after getting back to the tour bus and being slightly delayed due to traffic outside Geneva, we got back to the starting point at the bus station by about 8PM. All in all, we were pleased with the tour, including the guide/driver - he was pleasant, informative, and ran everything efficiently. The tour bus was also new and clean, including USB charging ports. Would highly recommend tour to others considering something further out than most of the available tours from Geneva - it’s definitely a lot of driving, but the opportunity to be at the top of the mountain in Zermatt was worth every minute of the travel and you do get about 5 hours in the town to spend as you please.

We don’t know. The company said the tour was on a certain date. Then they changed the date. What was on my booking sheet from Viator was one day after the tour to place and we had the wrong day on our voucher When we arrived, we were told that they looked for us the day previous. I’m going to notify my credit card company on this problem and will request a refund. The worst part was during the day we were asked how the tour is going.

Wonderful excursion! David was our driver to Zermatt, he explained how to take the cable car up the mountain and where to meet the bus at the end of the day. He doesn’t actually take you up there, you are on your own. Views from the top were amazing! The village of Zermatt is picturesque and fun to walk around in. We had fondue at du Pont restaurant and it was delicious! The bus ride is long, but worth it. David did stop so we could use the restroom.

Excellent experience! Our guide Amin was truly knowledgeable and helpful. Really enjoyed the views of the Matterhorn and surrounding areas! Restaurant we ate at was great and even did a little shopping! Highly recommend this excursion to all!

Very good experience. Pick up on time. Friendly guide. While it says it is a "guided tour", because of the small number of people who are going up to the Matterhorn, the tour guide does not actually accompany you to go up. Other than that, he was very informative and attentive.

You are left to try and find the bus by yourself. There is absolutely no direction on the cable car or at the glacier paradise. Views are very dependent on weather and it is a lot of money and a long day to not even see the Matterhorn. This company has terrible customer service.

A 12 hour day with two-thirds of the day on a bus. Bus trip took four hours to reach Zermatt from Gare Routiere Geneva because of stop-and-go traffic, two additional pickup stops for four guests and a bus to the Glacier Paradise cable car. It took 30 minutes to ride the cable car to the Glacial Paradise. Repeat the aforementioned in our return trip to Geneva. A total of nine hours of transportation with only three hours to enjoy in the village of Zermatt AND the Glacial Paradise. Our guide David was professional, congenial, informative and kept us on track with very detailed meeting times to keep the tour within its timeframe. We felt very rushed, pressured and did not get a good opportunity to enjoy this spectacular area of the world. We did not feel $400 per person was worth our experience of nine hours of transportation getting to and from Zermatt and the Glacial Paradise.

Amazing experience, everyone should do it. Extremely lucky with the weather, absolutely picture perfect day. Only down side is the tour guide has to wait in line for the tickets. Surely these could be organised in advance of the group arriving.

We had s very friendly driver David, who drove us from Geneva to Zermatt in brand new van. During the drive he EAs sharing with us all the important points of interest. Upon arrival we took Matterhorn Express gondola to the top and we were touring ice caves, ski slopes and we stopped at different points. We had a marvelous weather and experience. Definitely worth it!
