Great excursion with helpful guide

5.00We had a wonderful time hiking to Katholiko Bay with Kostas. Communication and pickup before excursion went great. The hike itself wasn't too difficult and we stopped at different points for Kostas to share information about the monasteries and caves hidden along the path. When reaching the bay, Kostas treated us to some snacks and let us have some time to swim, eat and relax. You realised on the way down that the hike up would be a workout, but with a couple of breaks along the way we made it up. On our way back to Chania, Kostas took us on a small detour to visit the Venizelos Graves for an amazing view of the city. The whole excursion took about 4h, with 1h hike down and 1h up again, might take longer depending on fitness status. It wasn't too cold to swim although early in the season so bring a swimsuit. Overall, very kind and helpful guide. Definitely recommend.

5.00Konstantinos was a delight to hike with! We started off on an easy pace and we stopped at a few of historical and natural monuments. He was able to explain and answer questions about the cultural impact of the monasteries and the moks that reside(d) there. The downhill hike was really quick and we were the only people at the bay. It was the most serene and beautiful water body I have experienced in Greece. He gave us enough privacy and also took great pictures. For the uphill climb, I recommend carrying a hat or something because the heat was really harsh . But Konstantinos was more than happy to stop as many times as needed and gave us enough motivation to finish the climb. He is a great conversationist and understands that the hike is not very easy.
