The ALIPERUTREKS team will pick you up from your hotel at 4:30 AM in Cusco and take you to Ollantaytambo, where you will enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, we will drive another hour to the trailhead located in Piscacucho or Km 82, where the hike begins, make sure you have your original passport. We will walk for 3 hours, focusing on exploring the Inca sites of Canabamba and Llactapata, two archaeological sites with different functions. From here we will walk 30 minutes to our lunch spot. Our team of porters and trekking chefs will have the camp ready for you to enjoy a hot lunch. All meals will be cooked on site and you will have the opportunity to refill your bottles with drinking water. After a rest, you will continue for about 3 hours until you reach Ayapata. Inca Trail
Today will be another day. After enjoying breakfast, we prepare for a four-hour ascent to the highest point of the Inca Trail, at 4215 meters. From here, enjoy breathtaking views of the mountain ranges. Then we descend to the next valley for an hour, we arrive at Pacaymayo for lunch, you will also have the opportunity to refill your bottles with drinking water. Then we begin the ascent of 2 hours and 45 minutes arriving at the Inca site Runcuraccay, Once here, you can enjoy the archaeological site and also the privileged views of two beautiful waterfalls. then a descent of one hour takes us to another Inca site, Sayacmarca, which offers further exploration. Then, a 25-minute hike takes us to our campsite at Chaquicocha, located at 3700 meters. The day ends with dinner and, if time permits, you will have the opportunity to contemplate the constellations.
CHAQUICCOCHA – PHUYUPATAMARCA – WIÑAYWAYNA (10KM, 6HRS)

Inca Trail
It is the most beautiful and relaxing day, a 6 hour hike through various ecological zones. We start early at 7:00 AM, walking for 2 hours with ups and downs, entering the edge of the jungle known as cloud forest. On a clear day we can see Salkantay and the Vilcabamba mountain range. Arriving at the Inca site of Phuyupatamarca, we will enjoy excellent views of the Urubamba River and our first glimpse of Machupicchu Mountain. After the exploration, a 3-hour descent takes us to our campsite, passing another Inca site (INTIPATA). We arrive at camp around 13:00. Once you have eaten and rested, we will continue on and head to the largest site on the Inca Trail, the beautiful Wiñay Wayna (Forever Young) site. This day is the easiest day of the Inca Trail and is in order to save energy for the last day, Machu Picchu.

Today you will have an early breakfast. We will walk for 2 hours until we reach inti punco (sun gate) which offers spectacular views of Machu Picchu and the mountains. After enjoying the views we will begin our descent to Machu Picchu for a 2 hour guided tour. After exploring we take the bus down to Aguas Calientes and have lunch. After lunch, you will head to the train station to take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our driver will pick you up and take you back to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.

5.00The organization was impeccable from start to finish. Our guide was really prepared, passionate and always available to answer any curiosity about the route and Inca history. The chef was an incredible surprise: delicious, varied and cared for dishes even in the middle of nature — really beyond all expectations! Special thanks also to the wearers, always smiling, kind and tireless: without them it would not have been the same. A magnificent adventure that I absolutely recommend to those who want to experience the Inka Trail in the best way.

5.00My husband and I had a great time doing this trail, accompanied by our brilliant guide Mesias, the very talented cook Valerio and our super strong team of porters: Juan Carlos, Juvenal, Juvenal, Braulio and Damien. The trail itself is stunning and the team of Ali Peru Treks organised everything without a glitch. Mesias guided us through both the trek itself, and all the Inca ruins we encountered along the way - sharing his passion for the rich Inca history and the wonderful landscapes and flora around us. Valerio’s cooking was incredible - what he was able to prepare for us in a little tent and only with the equipment carried along the trek was very impressive. And the strength and resilience of the porters has been very commendable - and always with a smile. We leave Machu Picchu with our hearts full (and our legs a bit tired :) )!
