The Classic Jordan tour offers an in-depth exploration of Jordan’s historical and natural landmarks over 8 days and 7 nights. Starting with a warm welcome in Amman, this tour takes you to some of the most cherished sites in the country, including the breathtaking ruins of Jerash, a city showcasing Jordan’s Greco-Roman heritage. In Amman, you’ll explore its historic Citadel, Roman Theater, and vibrant downtown markets.
Continuing south, the tour visits the sacred Mount Nebo and Madaba’s famous mosaics before heading to Shobak Castle, a historic Crusader fortress. Your journey culminates in Petra, where the ancient Nabatean city carved into rose-red cliffs awaits, followed by a unique night under the stars in the desert of Wadi Rum with a traditional Bedouin dinner and unforgettable stargazing.
Finally, relax at the Dead Sea, enjoying its therapeutic waters and mineral-rich mud baths with two days dedicated to rejuvenation.

Jerash Ruins
After breakfast, we are heading to the beautiful and green north of Jordan to visit Jerash, just around 60 minutes from Aman, Jerash is a close second to Petra on the list of favourite destinations in Jordan and one of the best places to explore roman civilization outside of Italy, Inhabited since the Bronze Age, Jerash is known for the ruins of the walled Greco-Roman settlement of Gerasa just outside the modern city. These include the 2nd-century Hadrian’s Arch, the Corinthian columns of the Temple of Artemis and the huge Forum’s oval colonnade.
The Citadel
We then head back to Amman to visit the Citadel of Amman which is the highest hill in Amman and is the site of ancient Rabbath-Ammon. Occupied since the Bronze Age, it's surrounded by a 1700m-long wall, which was rebuilt many times during the Bronze and Iron Ages, as well as the Roman, Byzantine and Umayyad periods. There's plenty to see, but the Citadel's most striking sights are the Temple of Hercules and the Ummayad Palace.
Al Balad – Downtown Amman
We then descend to visit the roman theater which is is the most obvious and impressive remnant of Roman Philadelphia, and is the highlight of Amman for most visitors. We walk in the downtown where we visit the old souks, shops, and maybe try a plate of Kunafa, which is a Jordanian pastry based on sweet goat cheese.

Mount Nebo
After breakfast, We take a 40 minutes drive south of Amman to visit Mount Nebo and the memorial of Prophet Moses and where he saw the promised land.
Madaba
Later to visit the town of Madaba and the St George Church which contains the oldest surviving original cartographic depiction of the Holy Land and especially Jerusalem on mosaic.
Shobak Castle
Then we take a longer drive (around 2 hours) to reach the town of Shoubak, there, on the "royal mountain" Montreal or Mons Regalis as it used to be called, was the first Crusader fortress in a line of strongholds in Oultrejourdain, the territory East of the river Jordan. Baldwin I King of Jerusalem ordered its construction in 1115 to control the caravan routes between Syria and Egypt.

Later we proceed for a 60 minutes’ drive to Petra for dinner, relaxation and overnight.

After breakfast, we are heading to Jordan’s crown jewel and travelers ultimate destination, the ancient lost city of Petra! The Nabateans carved this city in stone with simple tools 1500 years ago, and nothing will prepare you for the beauty and the sheer size of Al Khazna! Mark my words when it starts peeking at you by the end of the Siq (the pathway to Petra)!
Wadi Rum
After our visit, we proceed for a 90 minutes’ drive to Wadi Rum! The valley of the moon, we arrive to the camp (and we bet you’re hungry by then) for a Bedouin specialty dinner: ZARB. What’s that you may ask? Well, it’s a mix of meat like lamb and chicken, rice, potatoes and carrots, placed in a hole in the ground, which is filled with flaming coals. The hole is then covered, and after a few hours, the meat and rice are all smoked, steamed, and grilled, all at the same time! After dinner, you can enjoy a night of stargazing since there is no light pollution in the area. Overnight in your camp in Wadi Rum.

After breakfast, we’ll go exploring the Martian like desert in a 4X4 pick up for a couple of hours, we visit Al Khaza’ali which is a natural rock formation that mimics the Siq in Petra, Lawrence spring, enjoy Bedouin tea with local Bedouins.
Dead Sea
Later we are off to the lowest point on earth, some 430 meters below sea level, lays the Dead Sea, the saltiest lake in the world. The Dead Sea water is so rich in minerals and have high therapeutic value. We enjoy a day of relaxation by the Dead Sea beach. Over night in your dead sea resort.

5.00I spent eight days in Jordan and after visiting Egypt for 18 days, it was a very nice change. The Jordanians are so welcoming and friendly.. This was a private tour for eight days. My Guide was Loay Nawafleh and his knowledge of the history of Jordan was amazing. He was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had in all my travels to 75 countries.. He was very accommodating and made this a very special experience.. I spent two days in Amman and we visited Jerash also.Loay and I walked for two hours through the most amazing Roman ruins I’ve ever seen. More than Italy, Turkey and Croatia and once again Loay’s knowledge was incredible. He knows everyone at every sight we visited and they know him. We stopped at Mount Nebo on the way to Petra where Loay grew up.. at this time of year. It was perfect. The weather was incredible. There were probably only 800 people the day we went to the archaeological site of Petra as opposed to eight or 9000 at their peak season.. it’s been on my bucket list for many years and I’ve looked at a lot of photos of it until you’re there and walk through the canyon to reach the treasury and all the other amazing royal tombs and the theater was beyond my expectations. I spent one night at Wadi Rum at Luxotel enjoyed the rock formations in a two hour 4x4 ride for checking in to these very spacious geodesic tents. The following day we drove to the Dead Sea and got to visit the Jordan River and the site were Jesus was baptized and also the cave of John the Baptist.. My Hotel was the Dead Sea resort and spa across from Jericho with amazing views! This has been one of the best tours I’ve ever done❤️

5.00This is the first time I’ve been to the Middle East and I flew from Cairo today to Amman. This hotel impressed me by how I was greeted and their friendliness. I checked in at three and had laundry and dry cleaning to do and was concerned about getting it the next day and they had my room within two hours….. The hotel also upgraded my room at an extremely reasonable rate. They sent a beautiful dish of desserts, fruit and cake today. That was totally unexpected.. I’m very impressed with this hotel and this is my first day. The staff is incredible.!!
