This amazing hike on the Pipeline Trail goes into remote virgin cloud forest surrounding the perimeter of Volcán Barú National Park. The trail parallels a gorgeous creek that meanders through the valley in the highlands. The Pipeline Trail is the best maintained, and features old growth trees, butterflies, and rare species such as the Resplendent Quetzal, sloths, and monkeys. There are more than 220 bird species native to the area, including the elusive Resplendent Quetzal.
Or The Three waterfall hike
The Lost Waterfalls Trail parallels Quebrada La Mina, a gorgeous creek that meanders through the ridges and valleys above Boquete, creating spectacular waterfalls and eventually spilling into Rio Calder

Various Trails can be chosen for fitness levels and abilities. Short sections of the trail are steep uphill climbs. Please let us know your fitness and hiking ability. Trip details may change due to severe weather or unforeseen events. Wildlife spotting is highly likely, but not guaranteed. The Pipeline Trail is our MOST RECOMMENDED trail for our half-day hikes. It winds through the cloud forest and passes through two micro-climates, has various small wildlife, and is one of the best areas for the chance to see the Resplendent Quetzal Or The Lost Waterfalls Trail is quite steep at the beginning so requires a higher fitness level. It has three gorgeous waterfalls (the third being difficult to get to). The first waterfall is easily accessible with a good flow into a canyon (no swimming) and makes for a perfect photo-op. The second waterfall, further up the trail, has great water flow into a small pool, however it is not recommended to go under the waterfall due to falling rocks. The third waterfall requires a more strenuous trek and is not always accessible due to time constraints and trail maintenance. The trail is very nice with gorgeous jungle scenery

This was a great hike at a slow pace with our guide pointing out and explaining the wildlife, plants, insects, birds and the history of the mountain area. Jaime was terrific and added a personal perspective as he was raised in the area. We enjoyed the tour and learned a lot.

This was one of my favorite parts of our trip to Boquete! Our guide, Jaime, was so kind and knowledgeable about the area, land, trail, animals, etc. We had a great time and would definitely book again!

Wonderful experience. Good hike and our guide was great! The one thing we wish we got up close to was a waterfall. We thought we would but did not. We saw a lot of different trees, hummingbirds, and just all the nature.

My family went to Boquete Outdoor Adventures on Saturday Aug. 16th to book a Coffee Farm Tour and a Cloud Forest Hike. Lily was there and signed us up. She was very sweet and told us about the tours and we asked about cancellations. She did say they usually don't cancel unless it is for rain, but we could cancel if we let her know ahead of time if we decided not to go. I heard her say that my husband heard her say that and so did our son and daughter-in-law. We asked about cancellations mostly for the cloud forest hike as my husband is 78 and I am 73 and we weren't sure about going. We filled out a bunch of papers and I paid $288 for both tours. When we came on Tuesday afternoon for the coffee tour (which was great), we told the person who was there (not Lily) that we decided to cancel the Cloud Forest Hike after all and wanted our money back for that. Well, the young man said we had to contact Lily and didn't think that it was possible. Our daughter-in-law contacted her by phone immediately and Lily was extremely rude and insulting and said that she never said that we could get our money back if we decided not to go. We were all shocked. I told my daughter-in-law Boquete Outdoor Adventures must need the money. Obviously, we will never book through them again and would not recommend them. Our advice to you is to be careful and make sure you check out cancellation policies before you book.

Wow! A great way to see some of the area outside of downtown Boquete and a very nice foray into the jungle! Jaime’s personal connection to the Pipeline Trail made it all the more special.

Very slow, moving hike, not up into the clouds like I wanted or expected, but the guide saw things we would never see, and was incredibly energetic, and knowledgeable!

We had a great experience hiking the Pipeline Trail. Our guide, Jaime, was very attentive and shared many interesting details throughout the walk. He is very knowledgeable and made the tour both informative and enjoyable. The tour ended around 12:00 pm. We definitely recommend it!

The weather was great and we went up the mountain trail and then back down. Lots of hikers on the trail. The cloud forest was beautiful and the guide was very personable and really liked bugs. Wouldn’t really classify it as a wildlife hike as there was no wildlife except some caterpillars. As I said we went up the trail and then we came down.

We went on a morning clout forest hike and it was wonderful;. The guide was knowledgable and pointed lots of things out. Note that this is not a hike for those who have trouble climbing or with physical exertion. There's a lot of up and down and natural stairs. Wear good shoes.
