ISKCON Bangalore, Sri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple
Please note: On this tour, we visit one of the two temples listed — ISKCON Temple or the Bull Temple. As you step into the ISKCON Temple along with our erudite guide, you are immediately enveloped in a sense of grandeur, where soaring gopurams and gilded domes glisten under the sunlight. You walk through vast courtyards filled with the sound of kirtans, the aroma of incense, and the sight of devotees moving in rhythmic devotion, creating an atmosphere both vibrant and serene. As you stand before the sanctum of Lord Krishna, you feel a rare stillness wash over you, as if the chaos of the city has dissolved into a moment of divine presence.
Bangalore Palace
As you arrive at Bangalore Palace, your guide leads you around its ivy-draped walls, turreted towers, and arched windows, pointing out details that reveal the Wodeyar’s fascination with English-style grandeur. You pause to take in the imposing façade, its battlements and balconies narrating a story of power and prestige borrowed from Europe yet rooted in Bangalore’s own royal legacy. On this tour, you explore the exteriors of the monument, where the palace’s true charm lies in its stately presence and architectural intrigue. Please note: Bangalore Palace is closed on Mondays. On those days, we will instead explore Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace.

Our guide Pradeep was a wonderful one-of-a-kind person who were so fortunate to be able to spend the day with. We were the only people who signed up for the tour that day so we were able to get a surprise personal tour of Bengaluru. It was amazing how everyone in the city seemed to know Pradeep - people were saying hi at every corner. He knows the city forwards and backwards, and kept us intrigued with history, stories, and jokes. We also got lucky to see the Flower Festival in the Lalbagh Botanical Garden, which was decorated so beautifully for the event, and MTR had some of the best food we ate during our entire trip in India! Would highly recommend!

Very nice tour around Bengaluru, including Lalbagh Botanical Garden, Bull Temple, Bangalore Fort, KR Market (produce & flowers), Mavalli Tiffin Rooms (MTR) for lunch, government buildings, and the (very British) Bangalore Palace. Deena (guide) and Nadeem (?) (driver) were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I hope to visit Bangalore again with family, and look forward to more tours and other interactions.

The experience of having Praveen as our tour guide was extraordinary. We were so fortunate to meet him on our first day in Bangalore, as he transformed every other day of our trip! He is an extremely kind, intelligent, and wonderful person. He's passionate about India and about life—a combination that made our days with him absolutely special. The warmth of his explanations, the insight of his reflections, and his knowledge of history, politics, and society made the experience truly unique. We went with him to temples, restaurants, markets, the botanical garden, and the palace (in Mysore). He helped us plan our entire itinerary through Karnataka, with recommendations for drivers, places to stay, restaurants to try, and local tour guides. Praveen isn't just a guide—he became a friend and a wonderful reason for us to want to return to India. Bruna, Julie & Gui. (we cannot wait to return & spend some quality time again with Praveen!!)

Pradeep made this tour absolutely exceptional. His knowledge of Bangalore’s history runs deep, and he has a real gift for bringing the city’s stories to life with humor and warmth. He has a knack for telling stories, and I was impressed with how clearly and engagingly he communicated throughout the day and brought the history to life. The gardens, market, and temple were definite highlights, with Pradeep giving us plenty of time to explore each site thoroughly. He added wonderful local color along the way with trivia about the horticulture and wildlife we encountered. The lunch at MTR was a standout experience - 21 authentic dishes that were genuinely exceptional. This alone would be worth the tour! Everything ran like clockwork. Pradeep and our drivers were consummate professionals, punctual and organized at every stop. If you’re looking to truly understand Bangalore and experience it like a local, this tour with Praveen is an absolute must. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very good experience with Deena that I asked for professional reasons, but who was able to integrate some cultural elements. A guide who grew up nearby and saw his town change over time. Excellent lunch in a restaurant I would never have dared enter alone. A prayer to wish us luck and I think it worked.

I’ve been to Bangalore a number of times, but always for work. For the most part, has been a lot of hotel to office, office back to hotel, traffic and sites mainly from the lengthy Uber rides on Outer Ring Road. I honestly thought I “understood” the city based on those trips. Then I booked this tour with Praveen, and it completely rewrote everything I thought I understood about Bangalore. I had a full Saturday open because of a late flight, and was traveling solo, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the experience ended up being one of the best things I’ve ever done in India. Praveen was fantastic. He’s funny, had complete control of the tour, and has this incredible and natural way of explaining the background and history behind the sites that makes you want to hang onto every word. He took our small group through parts of the city I didn’t even know existed, from the older neighborhoods to the incredible KR Market, which was honestly overwhelming in the best possible way. The sights, the sounds, the smells…it felt like stepping into the past. And visiting places like Lalbagh Gardens and Bull Temple felt totally different when you’re with someone who can tell the stories behind what you’re looking at. My favorite part of course was lunch. MTR is well known, but good luck getting in there. So sitting down for that full authentic South Indian meal while skipping the massive line was a highlight all by itself. If you’re visiting Bangalore, whether it’s your first time or your tenth, try to make time for this tour. Praveen will show you a version of Bangalore you won’t find on your own, and you’ll walk away with a whole new appreciation for this city. I can’t recommend it enough.
