The tour is easy to join for all ages. The wines and food were delicious. Information provided beforehand is clear. Matt was an amazing tour guide. Because we were in a small group, he took the time to answer any of our questions and introduce us to some of the locals. This made it a memorable experience for me.

Really enjoyed this tour, there was plenty to see and plenty to taste and lots of stops about town. The order could’ve been slightly better (we started with Madeira wine at 10am!) but that’s driven by locations. Our guide gave us a lot of history and personal knowledge and we all really enjoyed it. Would recommend

In this tour we walked in a small group in the center of Funchal. Our guide explained more about the history of Madeira and Funchal, and brought us to eight different location where we could taste different drinks like several Madeira wines, poncha or local beer, and enjoy local food including meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, cookies and chocolates. Overall we spent more than four most enjoyable hours.

What a fantastic activity! Well worth doing. Our guide, Matt was so informative and the 8 stops for food and drink left us too full for a meal later. Small group of 10 meant everyone was involved in the conversations. Although we have been coming to Funchal for 10 years we learned new information!

Really great tour, Matt was very knowledgeable and good at keeping us informed about all aspects of Maderia. We visited some great places, drank some lovely wine and ate some very tasty dishes. We covered some great parts of Funchal too. Thanks for the lovely time. Highly recommended

The tour was well organized and our guide, Roberto, was full of interesting facts about Funchal. We did cover a lot of ground and visited many spots for food and drink. Food was plentiful as were the drinks provided. Save your appetite for all the good food to be had on the tour. Everything we tried was delicious. I recommend this tour for anyone wanting to get a feel for Madeiran food and drink.

Matt was a wonderful and informative guide. He took us an historical food and drink journey in Funchal, stopping at some historical landmark Madeira wine, biscuit and chocolate locations. Tasty bites of unusual and local fish, cheese and exotic fruits. A smorgasbord of wonderful and new tastes for our uneducated palettes. We are now big fans of the Madeira cuisine.
