Brilliant day out. Well organized. Pick up on time from our hotel. Renalto was very knowledgeable. Shame about the weather, but that is not controllable.

The day started with being picked up bang on time from my hotel. It was a comfortable minibus which was very welcome after having done jeep tours previously! Renato, the driver/guide, was lovely and a wealth of knowledge so I learnt so much during the day. The tour itinerary was well planned with very enjoyable stops, never feeling rushed and never getting bored. A fabulous day with a fabulous guide. I'll definitely be booking with this company again

We booked our English tour of West Madeira a couple of days in advance through website. At the time weather was looking good but sadly it changed slightly and we had a a very mixed day which is obviously not the fault of the company. We were last to be picked up and it was explained that due to many bookings we had to have a tri-lingual tour in English, French and German which was ok with us but did get a little confusing swapping from one language to another but the guide ‘John in English’ did a great job. We were supposed to start with Cabo Girão skywalk but were told it was too busy up there that morning so would leave it until the end of the day. We went to camara do lobos first and then Ribeiro Brava where it started to rain. The banana plantation was a little disappointing aswell as thought we would be going to BEM which has a cafe etc. Again the pouring rain didn’t help. We then had to miss out our next viewpoint stop as virtually no visibility, the only benefit being we then had more time in Porto Meniz which was the highlight of the day allowing us to swim in the natural pools , have some lunch and a stroll around. After our next stop we then headed back to finally get to Cabo Girao only to find it also covered in clouds with no view at all !!! Maybe we would have got one if we’d have gone first stop as planned. A slightly disappointing day overall hence only 3 stars but the company can obviously not do anything about the weather so we will have to return one day and do it all again

Overall, the tour was good! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind — he even waited patiently to pick us up after we were late, which we really appreciated. What I didn’t like, however, was how the pickup arrangement was handled. I’d entered our hotel location when booking, and it was confirmed without any issue. But a few days later, I received an email saying our hotel was outside the pickup area. When I asked how much it would cost for pickup, I was told €20 per person — which felt unreasonable considering the cost of the tour itself. If a location is outside the pickup zone, it would be much better to flag that upfront during booking rather than confirm and later decline it. That part felt a bit misleading. Aside from that, everything else was fine and enjoyable.

The tour of Madeira West was a great experience. Our guide Juan was very entertaining and had a lot of information about the many sights. Porto Moniz was the high-light of the day. An unforgettable day.
