  David was an excellent tour guide. He provided me with incredibly eye-opening information, and I learned a lot about Cape Town and South Africa. At each stop, he gave me as much time as I needed to explore and take photos. He was also happy to take pictures of me whenever I asked. It was a fantastic tour where I learned something new at every moment. I highly recommend it to everyone.

  Our private tour with our driver/guide David was enjoyable from beginning to end. There was a lot of ground to cover in 8 hours and David navigated us efficiently and comfortably. He was very informative and proud of his country. We learned that we want to return for an extended stay in the Cape Town area and we will call this tour operator if we do! One point to consider if the tour is scheduled for a Wednesday: we could not both drive the Chapman's Peak Drive and go to the island where we could see seals. On Wednesdays the CPD road is closed for maintenance between 10 am and 4 pm, and the only boat rides for the seals are at noon and 3 pm It is impossible to do both during the tour. Other than that, the tour was flawless. While we saw numerous remarkable sites, our highlight was the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden. Even though we only had an hour to explore it, It may be the grandest garden we have ever visited. Next time it warrants several hours.

• Great driver, great journey - a must do experience for Cape Town

  Great experience. This trip is a must do when visiting Cape Town because it takes you out of the city, away from the normal hub of things to do, such as Table Mountain, V&A Waterfront etc... and it shows you the rest of Cape Town in full scope. A great journey to do to get a bigger picture of Cape Town. The only thing I'd mark it 1 point down for, is once we got to Cape Point, the Furnicluar... the driver only gave us 1 hour to get lunch and explore and I feel this could have been longer because we were rushed to eat lunch and take the Furnicular - and if there's massive queues, you might find yourself cut short. Other than that, our driver David was really great to talk to, and he gave us a lot of information on Cape Town the whole journey through. We also had to bring a wheelchair along with us and I asked for a bigger vehicle, so we were given a shuttle van which was perfect to accommodate us with the wheelchair. So well done Batende Tours, great service!
