Why do we recommend the Uros and Taquile tour by speedboat?
The main reason is that we shorten the navigation time on the lake, having more time to enjoy the visits in Uros and Taquile, in addition to having calmer walks and being more comfortable because the boat is also more spacious and comfortable.
The places that are visited are the same as those of the Tour of Uros and Taquile normal boat:
2 islands in the Uros (of the more than 90 islands that make up these floating islands)
Taquile Island, where we will visit its main square to have lunch and appreciate its customs, beautiful views of the lake and its textiles.
As we mentioned before, the difference is basically the navigation time that each boat makes, as we show below.

5.00Really great, fascinating tour of the Uros Islands with tour in English and Spanish, worth the trip to Puno just for it. I got to listen to them sing in quechua and other native languages, and ride around in a reed boat. Taquile was also very interesting, I didn't know what it was until I took the tour, it's a island with strong Incan culture, their textile are potentially the best in the world, there is opportunity to buy some.

5.00Visiting these islands is a worthwhile experience. The guide did not take the boat to the Uros Islands, where we could talk with local families and then take a ride on the typical boats made with reeds. Then we continue the tour of Lake Titicaca to Taquile. There we were greeted with typical music and dances in a small artisan market. Then we had lunch and while eating, the guide told us details about the history and culture of the place. I chose to do it by speedboat, which I highly recommend. You can leave your belongings in the boat as it is the same boat that accompanies the whole tour. The tour had pick up and return to the hotel, so in short, a very complete and well organized tour ideal to know the life and traditions on the lake.

5.00“Speed” boat is being generous, but it is faster than paddling. It was comfortable, top and bottom. The guide was excellent and the Uros Islands are indescribable. Got to learn about them yourself. Tequile was lovely and we had a great lunch.
Visit to Lake Titicaca and the Islands was well worth it.
