Museo Litico Pukara
Step Into the Ancient World of Pucará. Discover one of the most important pre-Inca cultures in the Andes! Pucará is more than a stop—it’s the birthplace of highland civilization in the Lake Titicaca region, dating back to 500 BC. At its peak, this thriving city stretched across a full square kilometer, home to priests, artisans, farmers, and warriors. But what makes Pucará truly unforgettable are its stunning monolithic sculptures and colorful ceramics. You’ll see intricate designs—geometric, animal, and human—that still captivate archaeologists and visitors alike. Wander through temples, feel the ancient energy of this sacred site, and witness the artistry of Peru’s earliest cultural pioneers.
La Raya Pass
Welcome to the highest point of your journey—Abra La Raya, a breathtaking mountain pass that marks the natural border between Cusco and Puno. Perched at 4,335 meters (14,200 feet) above sea level, this spot delivers 360° views of the snow-capped Andes, glacial streams, and endless skies. Keep your camera ready—you’ll often spot peaceful alpacas grazing beneath towering peaks. Feel the crisp mountain air, take in the silence of the highlands, and experience the raw beauty of Peru’s Altiplano. It’s more than a photo stop—it’s a moment you’ll remember forever.

This was a wonderful experience, it is absolutely worth making the trip by road to appreciate the change in the environment from the altiplano to the Sacred Valley. Our guide was engaging and helpful, and the tour was well-organised. We learned a lot - not all as factual as it was presented at the time, but it was still a great introduction to the Inca.

A superb day that makes it possible to make the road between Puno and Cusco while discovering beautiful sites along the way. The whole Inka Express organization is thorough and Liz our guide has been a wealth of information.

This was an awesome part of our Peru adventure! Ellie and Edwin were awesome. Ellie speaks great English and Spanish and explained all of the significant spots we stopped at. The stops were all great! They were pretty evenly spread so the longest time in the bus was 1 hour 40 minutes right at the beginning. Lunch was an amazing buffet and the best food we've had in Peru so far. Basically every stop has merchant stands where you can buy cheap but beautiful souvenirs. We got so much more out of this tour than we would have in an airplane or train. And the value was second to none in my opinion. Some random things. At the bus station in puno you'll have to pay an extra S/ 1.90 per person just for getting to the buses, wasn't expecting that but it was super cheap. We went in December and it was great, it sprinkled on us for a minute in one place but that was it. All the sights are awesome. There are free bathrooms at most of the spots you stop at. You can't do a #2 on the bus. But again, an amazing tour. 100% would go again.

This was the best bus tour I’ve taken! The bus was super comfortable. The provided beverages and snacks were really nice to have. All of the stops were worthwhile, educational, and beautiful. None of the driving between stops exceeded two hours, which made the ride very enjoyable. Lunch was also delicious. I would definitely recommend Inka Express!

Beautiful and super comfortable trip. The stops along the way are very interesting and the lunch restaurant is a great self-service with a wide choice. The guide is super competent and the visit to the church of San Pedro Apostol in Andahuaylillas not to be missed.

Beautiful tour, we had a great time thanks to the guide Elly (Elisabeth) who guided us and welcomed us with kindness. As soon as we left, he introduced us to the trip, the 5 stops, explained the times (useful to organize for the toilets), then during the trip he told us the story, the archaeological sites, explained some Peruvian habits, all in double English and Spanish. Great lunch with buffet and welcome snacks included in the price. The bus much better than those of the Cruz del Sur, with Starlink WiFi, bathroom on board, soft drinks service, luggage transport without weight limit, wide, comfortable and reclining seats, working USB charger. Great!

What a great experience! We saw all the minor (Pre-)Inka sites and had an amazing tour guide. Lunch was also great. I would definitely choose the bus over the train. Worth every penny :)
