The Cuneo family, of Italian origin, founded Casas del Bosque in 1993 in the Casablanca Valley, located 70 kilometers from Santiago, capital of Chile, and 30 kilometers from the port of Valparaíso, Unesco's Cultural Heritage. The large and ancient forests of pines and olive trees, and small white adobe houses, gave rise to the name of "Casas del Bosque". At present, the vineyard has a unique vineyard of 235 hectares, dedicated exclusively to the production of cold climate varieties, such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Syrah. The Cabernet Sauvignon and the Carmenere come from vineyards carefully managed in Maipo, Colchagua and Cachapoal.

Herbert Bosques tour took us to Casas Del Bosques vineyard and our English Speaking guide was Christopher. it was a magical half day, Christopher was superb, he simplified and de-snobbed winemaking for us and was so open and transparent about the process, the people, the pricing. The wines are beautiful and so is the vineyard, beautiful gardens, vines, and buildings. Lunch was a huge surprise, similar to a top end restaurant but very affordable pricing. We loved it.

I fulfilled a dream of visiting vineyards in Chile. It is beautiful and the tour is very complete, you don't have to be a wine expert as they explain everything very well, from the vine, to the fermentation tanks and to the barrels and cellars. Recommended and buy wines when you finish. ❤️
