Create your own Kanji art and turn it into a beautiful T-shirt, fan, or accessory — a one-of-a-kind Hiroshima souvenir made by you.

In a calm Japanese art studio near Peace Memorial Park, you’ll step into the world of shodō, the art of expressing words and feelings with brush and ink. Using a high-quality brush crafted in Hiroshima, you’ll practice the basics and choose a Kanji such as your name or a meaningful word. With gentle, step-by-step guidance, even complete beginners can create a piece they’re proud of.

In the final stage, you’ll turn your calligraphy into real art on a T-shirt, fan, or other item to take home. The serene interior is also perfect for photos, making this experience memorable for couples, families, and solo travelers.

Location: 15-minute walk from Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park

Duration: About 90 minutes

You’ll leave with a unique piece of Japanese calligraphy that will always remind you of Hiroshima.

If you want to go to Hiroshima in Japan, I recommend it!! It was an idyllic experience not only to stop visiting tourist attractions, but also to be able to experience the local area. The teacher is also friendly🙂

Very beautiful and relaxing experience in the middle of our trip. Chihiro has set up a very relaxing space for us to learn in and be creative. My partner and I love our custom souvenirs, including custom stickers with our own calligraphy on it! We were looking for a unique yet cultural experience, and this is exactly what that was.
