  My husband and I both loved our tour with our guide Hoa. Our group only had 4 people which was perfect. Hoa's English was fantastic, she was very clear, gave relevant and interesting historical information about the Imperial City in right-sized amounts, and paused to give us enough time to take photos and explore as we went along. The length of the tour felt very appropriate - we covered a lot without being overwhelmed. Two thumbs up!

  We had an incredible time on our private tour of the Imperial Palace. Booking and communication with our guide was easy. Our knowledgeable tour guide shared valuable insights and allowed us ample time to explore and take photographs at each section of the palace. Her attentiveness was remarkable, as she promptly addressed all our queries. Even after the tour ended, she kindly suggested places to dine and landmarks to visit. I highly recommend booking this tour!

  I generally don't love tours like this, but this was an exception. Our guide, Ngoc, is a historian who specializes in this period of Vietnamese history. This means that rather than a memorized schtick from a teenager with a summer job, Ngoc was able to provide rich storytelling that contextualized what we were seeing. All of us, especially our 10-year-old, could feel and be affected by the history rather than just hear about it. Spending time with Ngoc was the highlight of our entire Vietnam adventure.

  Incredible tour and so informative! Ngoc’s brother was also working on the restoration of the site, so he gave us l unique insight that no one else knew. He kindly even took a few photos of us and took us to places with better views away from all the crowds and even recommend some reading material on Vietnamese history ! Thank you so much Ngoc 😊

  Trinh was extremely kind and her English was incredibly good (understanding my fairly hard to understand midlander accent). She was very knowledgeable about the area and Vietnam in general, answering all of my questions. She clearly knows the sight well and enjoys her job and it was interesting just hearing her perspective about things, let alone about the tour itself :) if you’re going to book a tour I would strongly suggest her as your guide :)

  

  

  

  

• Fascinating historical and cultural introduction to Hue

  This was the best historical tour we have done in Vietnam. Our guide Ngoc was exceptional. He gave us an amazing background on Hue and particularly the period of the Nguyen Dynasty. We learned a lot about the behind the scene plots and intrigues that occurred during this period (including murder and poisoning of kings) which outdo any TV drama. We learned about the construction of the Imperial city and the Citadel, there are some amazing structures to view, and also the impact of war - bullet holes are visible in some walls from the Tet offensive during the Vietnam war. We highly recommend Ngoc - having studied History at Uni and fluent in English, he really made this period come alive for us and is clearly so passionate about it. Importantly for us, our teenagers loved the experience.

  Ngoc was an amazing tour guide! Extremely knowledgable and answered all our questions! We learnt so much and the sites we saw were beautiful, it gave us a great taste of Vietnam and its unique culture. We would definitely recommend, our entire family enjoyed it :)

  Set up the appointment late and had a unique schedule request, all washandled in the most professional manner. Ngoc Luu is an expert on the Dynasties of Vietnsm . As an educational professional it wasso refreshing to hear his eloquent monolog/ dialog about the dynamics and drama as we passed through history. Ngoc is a good listener, who answered my enquiries with critical thinking responses. I learned so much , and I would love to do a whole day adventure with him. Ps he also gave a great recommendation for lunch. Best food I've had so far on this excursion. Highly , recommend anytime spent with Ngoc. A true scholar.

  Visiting the Imperial City was an absolute highlight of our trip. The restoration efforts have paid off beautifully, making every corner of the city a breathtaking snapshot of history brought back to life. But the real star of our visit was our guide Ngoc. He was incredibly knowledgeable, brimming with great stories that painted a vivid picture of the city's past.   Ngoc has been our best guide during our trip in Vietnam. Know the story perfectly and make you really live it. Perfect tour to know the imperial city of Hue and enter the Nguyen dynasty. Super recommended!!!
