What To Expect
Nine Holy Cannons
The Cửu Vị Thần Công (Nine Dynastic Cannons) were cast during the reign of Emperor Gia Long in 1803, completed in 1804. These bronze cannons are not only of significant historical importance but are also a peak in Vietnamese bronze-casting art. Their intricate carvings and high-quality casting highlight the artistic value of the 19th century in Vietnam.
The Flag Tower
Flag tower Hue (Kỳ Đài ) is a historical site where major events during the Nguyen Dynasty took place, including ceremonies for festivals, celebrations, and public announcements. This site is integral to understanding the imperial life of Hue and the Nguyen Dynasty’s customs.

English speaking guide
The entrance fee is not included in the tour price. Guests will need to pay 200,000 VND for adults and 40,000 VND for children to access the Imperial City. We recommend bringing cash for this fee
The transportation to and from the tour meeting point is not included. Our guide will meet you at the four cannons located at Ngan Gate (Cửa Ngăn ) to join the tour

5.00We had a great tour of the Imperial Citadel in Hue with our guide, Nhien. By chance it turned into a private tour, which made it even more relaxed. Nhien was very knowledgeable and pointed out details we would have easily missed on our own — from feng shui elements and number symbolism to interesting pieces of Vietnamese history. A friendly, clear and pleasant guide. Definitely recommended.

5.00We had an amazing experience visiting the Hue Imperial City with our guide, Nhú. She brought us water bottles so we could stay refreshed, as the weather was quite warm even though it was winter. She explained in detail the history of the 12 emperors of the Nguyễn Dynasty. We wouldn’t have learned nearly as much if we had explored the Imperial City on our own, so booking this walking tour was definitely the right decision. She also made sure we got plenty of photos with the beautiful Imperial City as our backdrop, and she even let us try lotus tea inside the palace (a delicacy that was once reserved only for emperors). At the end she also provided some lunch recommendations so we could try Hue typical cuisine at local restaurants. Definitely whole-heartedly recommend taking this tour so you can learn as much as we did about a lesser-known period of Vietnamese history worldwide.

5.00This was an absolutely fantastic tour! Trinh was an amazing tour guide - she was so welcoming, super friendly and super knowledgeable! She made the tour really interesting and really enjoyable. We learnt so much about the culture and history of Vietnam. I couldn’t speak highly enough of her and the trip as a whole. She also gave fantastic recommendations for local coffee and restaurants etc ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
