Hue
We will take you to enjoy Com hen, which is a rice dish with rural ingredients like baby mussels (hen) and fresh herbs combined through a sophisticated process. The mussels are boiled to create the broth adding sweetness and depth to the rice.
Hue
You will enjoy 3 traditional cakes 1. Beo Cake`s Hue is a rice flour cake that is placed into an aluminum blister or a small cupand then steamed. It usually has a dimple in the middle that is covered with a savory mixture that includes fresh shrimp, mung beans, and fried shallots 2. Bánh bột lọc” is one of the most popular cakes of Hue. The cake will be steamed, after well cooked remove the leaf to eat. The dough is so transparent that you can see the shrimp filling inside. The other don’t have a leaf cover but simply dumped, then put on a plate, enhance the flavor with fried onions. This cake must be served with a sweet sour fish sauce. 3. An excellent and delicious tour! Bem was my guide and her English was excellent. She taught me not only about the food but about the history and culture of Hue. We stopped at a variety of different restaurants and (even though I’ve been in Vietnam for 3 weeks) all the food we tried was new to me and special to Hue. Great value for money. Bem explained to me that she trains and hires woman guides to help empower this community. I highly recommend you take this tour!

So much laughter and fun, Bem meet us on time at the hotel, we were immediately out on the streets and alley ways of Hue. We dinesd like locals sitting on the street or in the restaurant sampling a local specialty.. we heard not only stories of Vietnam but the dishes and what made them special. As a local Bem knower the shop owners. At the coffee shop where salt coffee was invented. She was greeted with smiles and a hug because she had been out of town for a while. The visit to the coffee shop would have been worth the price of admission the salt coffee was absolutely delicious and I had the Vietnamese coffee over ice Which I loved! Don’t miss the crab soup oh my goodness that was delicious! At the end of our tour, Bem walked us a good ways out of her way to get us to the meeting point for our dragon boat! What a wonderful experience, at the end, we felt like we were saying goodbye to an old friend!
