In this hands-on cooking class in Singapore, you’ll learn to prepare two dishes from scratch. Choose from one of three menu options: South Indian Thali, North Indian Thali, or Indian Breakfast. The cooking class lasts about 1.5 hours and includes practical tips and techniques that are essential to Indian home cooking. After the class, sit down to enjoy the delicious meal you helped prepare, sharing the experience with your host Kalpana and her family, when they’re around. This Singapore cooking class is perfect for curious travelers, food lovers, and anyone looking to explore authentic Indian cuisine through a hands-on, cultural experience in a local home.

    More Than a Cooking Class – A Beautiful Cultural Experience Spending an evening cooking with Kalpana in Singapore was pure magic. From the moment I stepped into her warm and fragrant kitchen, time seemed to slow down — spices toasted in the pan, laughter filled the air, and every dish told a story. Under Kalpana’s gentle guidance, I learned to craft crispy Dosa, Arachuvitta Sambar rich with flavor, Rava Kesari glowing with saffron sweetness, and golden fried potatoes that tasted like comfort itself. We even ground our own Garam Masala by hand — the aroma was unforgettable. When we finally sat down to share the meal with her family, it felt less like a class and more like being welcomed into a home. The food was extraordinary, but it was the warmth, humor, and generosity of spirit that truly made the evening shine.
