What an amazing experience. Kids 16 and 13 say that this was the highlight of the trip. The helicopter ride was cool. We had great views of Juneau, the Mendenhall Glacier, Juneau Icefield and the Herbert Glacier where we landed. Agnes was our pilot. She was fantastic. She pointed out lots of sights and we felt safe. The dog camp was something to see! We enjoyed hearing about dogsledding and summer life on the glacier. The dogs are clearly well cared for and want to run! Willoe was our musher. We had a great ride and she answered all our many questions. We enjoyed meeting the dogs and hearing about their personalities. And it was awesome to be on a glacier! What took me from 5 to 4 was that I was disappointed in the actual amount of time we spent dogsledding. We really just did the loop which took less than 15 minutes. We stopped once to change positions and greet and pet the dogs. Then we spent more time petting the dogs, looking at the puppies, buying pictures and standing around for a bit waiting for the helicopters to come back. I would have liked another loop and the chance for each person to stand on the back of the sled/go in front. I was also disappointed in the photos that they took. Of course I’m going to buy them! It’s really the only was to get a full picture with the sled and dogs. It’s hard copy 5x7 prints that they print right there after they take them. The quality isn’t great and you have to hold onto them or stick them in a pocket for the return trip since there are no bags allowed. Please change to digital photos that you can email us!! I’ll still impulse buy them when I get back to the airport. That being said, it was a great experience and I would recommend. Just know what to expect.

By far, this was the best excursion of our entire 11 day Alaska trip. Starting with our bad ass 23-year-old helicopter pilot, Oceana, she made our rainy day a ton of fun and our first trip in a helicopter, spectacular. On the glacier, Josie, who was training her sled dogs for the Iditarod competition, explained the role of each dog and their unique personalities. This was a bigtime splurge for us, but it was worth every penny. Here's a tip: we packed all of our cold weather gear for this excursion, but guess what? They provide absolutely everything you could need, from shoe covers, to rain pants to rain coats. We had all of our own clothing, but had we known it was provided, we could have saved an entire suitcase. Many people on our ship had their tours cancelled due to weather, but ours went on.

If you are on the fence about spending the money to do this Experience, let me tell you that it is well worth it! My husband was very nervous about the helicopter, but the staff was so professional and took all the safety measures very seriously, to make him feel at ease. The views flying over the glacier and mountains was so beautiful, I took a ton of photos. My husband and I had to be split up on the sled, due to he odd number of people, but that was OK. I went on Joey's sled, and he was great and answered all my questions about the dogs, racing and the glacier. I was disappointed with the professional photos that were taken by an independent company. They were very far away and a little blurry, so not worth the cost in my opinion, but we took lots on our own.

This was an awesome experience! My grandson (13) and I (68) had a wonderful time in the helicopter and at the dog park. The sled ride was a unique experience that I will never forget. Seeing the views from the helicopter was fantastic! I highly recommend this tour.

First time in a helicopter for us both. The staff were so attentive and ensured our safety at all times from start to finish. The ride in the helicopter was amazing over the mountains to the glacier. The dog sledging was an amazing experience, the dogs look happy and happy at their work! The mushers and other staff all look after the dogs well and you can tell they all love their work. Would highly recommend this trip.

What a fantastic experience, wow! We flew from Juneau to the Herbert glacier, and then did the dog sledding. Sam was our musher, and he was so kind, informative and fun. He dressed up in patriotic clothing for July 4th. We had a blast! Highly recommend this if you go to Juneau!

We stayed in Juneau for two days after our National Geographic cruise just to do this. In fact, the first day was rained out but they rebooked us for the next afternoon - and we did it! The flight and sledding were the clear highlight of our Alaskan adventure for my 12 yr old granddaughter - and for me. I've flown in helicopters quite a bit before, but there is nothing like this trip. It was well worth the extra 2 days in Juneau just so we didn't miss this fantastic experience. And kudos to our young lady pilot for a smooth, safe trip.

This was the highlight of our Alaskan cruise. The staff was very friendly and my kids and I had a wonderful time. The helicopter ride was amazing as well. A must do! And the dogs were so happy and well loved. It was a once in a lifetime experience.

Highlight of Land / Cruise excursions thus far, beating out our excellent flightseeing in Denali. Beautiful sunny day gave way to a smooth both ways cramped helicopter ride to the mushing camp. Josie was our "driver" of ten anxious dogs pulling herself and four of us through the snow pack for a mile and a half or so. We pet the adult dogs and then were introduced to the cute as hell pups. Talk about a feel good excursion.
