What To Expect
This 3-hour tour includes 25 minutes of glacier flightseeing to Taku Glacier Lodge, 2 full hours at the lodge, and a 15-minute return flight. Depart from downtown Juneau by floatplane—every seat is a window seat with headset narration. Fly over the Juneau Icefield, viewing glaciers, crevasses, and mountain terrain. Land on the Taku River next to the Taku Glacier, steps from the historic 1923 lodge. Enjoy a wild Alaska salmon meal with homemade sides and drinks chilled with glacier ice. During your stay, choose to walk the forest trails, join a guided nature walk, or relax on the porch. Black bears are often seen nearby. After exploring the grounds and taking in views of Hole-In-The-Wall Glacier, return to Juneau with a final scenic flight past more glaciers before landing back at the waterfront.

5.00Wow! What an incredible bucket list experience! A special afternoon that included narration while we’re were flying, taking off and landing in a seaplane next to our cruise ship, views of the mountains, water, multiple glaciers, and landing in front of Taku Lodge for lunch. We were able to have time to take everything in and explore the magnificent property and Taku glacier. After lunch we could sit and relax or take a short nature hike. The host family and their staff were the nicest folks!

1.00I bought this excursion for my wife son and daughter in law. The pilot asked if anyone was a pilot. My wife said my son is, as he is in flight school working on his commercial cert, the pilot said I will not have any pilot ride in the front with him and picked some random lady to ride with him instead up front. The pilot left them feeling bad and inferior. Will not be back and will not recommend.

5.00This was probably the best execution we did. I don’t do too many reviews but the staff and wings company was amazing. High five to all the chiefs. The smoke salmon was so good. The hike to the waterfall and to the glacier was amazing too. We would love to stay there a couple nights and share a few bottles of wine with the staff smile!! Thank you to all!!

5.00Our excursion to Taku Lokge with Wings Airways was one of favorite tours ever! We truly enjoyed the entire experience from the moment we arrived at Wings Airways. The staff was super nice, organized and excited for us. The flights were extraordinary with highly skilled pilots. The takeoff and landings were flawless every time. The staff at the lodge provided the utmost in hospitality with a delicious lunch, presentation about the history of the lodge, and a walking tour. The entire experience was blessed by God and is now at the top of our list of unforgetable excursions!

5.00Currently on an Alaskan Cruise, chose this Excursion as my Bucket List trip and it didn’t disappoint. Weather was wet in the morning in Juneau but cleared enough for flight to go ahead. Flight over Glaciers was breathtaking. Taku Lodge was the perfect setting for an outstanding Lunch, then a nature walk through forest to view Glacier and Waterfall. Staff at Lodge were lovely and Jon, our Pilot was great. Seriously the best shore excursion we have ever done. Truly a magical day.

5.00An absolutely wonderful floatplane trip seeing 5 glaciers and eating a delicious grilled salmon meal in the lodge! I highly recommend doing this tour! It last 3 hours and includes 2 hours at the lodge, including an easy 20 minute guided glacier hike around the property.

5.00This excursion from Juneau was a highlight of our Alaskan cruise with friends. The staff at the lodge was superb as was our downhome lunch with all the requisite fixins'. And seeing glaciers from about 4500' was remarkable and a great perspective . I'd do it again without thought.
