Bruce our pilot was entertaining with his jokes and was friendly as well. The staff at the lodge were informative and the food was excellent. I really loved the fresh salmon and the flavored biscuits.

Amazing flight on the sea plane over ice fields and several glaciers. The narration on the plane sounded clear - no static. The Taku lodge is a lovely rustic cabin, and the food is delicious. After the meal, one of the staff took us on a nice little walk along a trail on the property, sharing interesting info along the way. We were so fortunate to see a black bear come up to lick the grill clean just before it was time to board the plane for the flight back. After he had his fill, he headed to the blueberry shrubs for dessert.

The highlight of our Alaska vacation! Incredible views. Great flight. Well organized. If only we could have had a bit more time on the ground and in the air!

Beautiful sights, probably best way to see glaciers, delicious home-cooked food, peaceful surroundings at lodge, nice getaway from the busy ship! Booking through Viator is cheaper price than through the cruise company. So glad we did this excursion.
