Kefalonia is a beautiful island in Ionian that is known for its wine culture. A wine tour in Kefalonia is an excellent way to explore the vineyards and wineries on the slopes of Mt Ainos and beyond. You will learn all about the famous “Robola” grape introduced by Venetians and how it is used to make unique Kefalonian wines. The tour will be led by expert wine guides who will provide you with all the knowledge and expertise you need, on a series of fine wines with the correct way of tasting them. Tour the cellars of each wine estate, and follow the production process from harvesting the grapes through to maturing the wine. Walk with your guide around one of the estate’s mountain vineyards, and sip on up to 12 – 15 different varieties of the island wine, including local Robola and Mavrodaphne. Nibbles such as olives, bread, and cheese are also included.
You will also get to enjoy the island’s scenic landscape while sipping on some of the best wines Kefalonia has to offer.

Fabulous day with brilliant people, we are not really wine drinkers but thought we’d give it a go. Such a great experience. Our guide was very good. There were only 10 of us and we all chatted away as if we’d known each other for years. Ended up with 3 bottles of wine some vinegars and oil. Highly recommend even if you’re not a massive wine fans (you may be converted like us)

If I could give it 0 stars I could. While taking a family cruise we booked this tour as it came up when searching for excursions at one of our cruise stops. Unfortunately, this excursion was indeed NOT at our cruise destination despite coming up on our viator search. 24 hours before our scheduled day we found out this information and requested a refund from both viator and the wine tour company and they both refused to issue us one.

Excellent trip. Only a small group of five who were great companions. The wine knowledge of the people guiding the wine tasting was amazing. We learned about different types of grapes ointment fantastic settings. Cheese and nibbles were also available throughout. Excellent tour guide with a passion for Kefalonia.
