5.00We were lucky to have a very peaceful cruise on the beautiful backwaters. The boat was just for the two of us. The guy operating the boat was keen to spot, show and tell us many different birds along the circuit. His English was limited but he tried really hard. The guide we had, (didn't get his name) spoke very little. On our journey, from port to Kumarakom, we travelled through many interesting looking villages, without any dialogue. I had my own notes, in the boot of the car, unfortunately. The journey was about 90 minutes. The boat operator also stopped several times to set us ashore and show us things on land.

5.00Very efficiently organised. The owner of the agency, Joyce, personally came to greet us and then we headed to the backwaters in a car to the Kumarakom jetty where we had a nice boat ride exploring the backwaters and then back to the hotel. Would recommend Joyce and his team:)
