Hello everyone! We offer a double experience where you can learn the basics of the tea ceremony and make your own matcha tea bowl. In this experience, tea ceremony master, will introduce this traditional Japanese art and teach you how to prepare tea. You will then have the opportunity to prepare the tea yourself. This experience includs the matcha tea and Japanese sweets that accompany it. Afterwards, you will make a matcha tea bowl with Anna, a ceramist who studied pottery in Osaka. The bowl will be shaped and decorated using traditional Japanese pottery techniques. This double workshop is offered in our studio, a century-old two-storey building located in the Ikuno Ward. It is a very local area in Osaka, so exploring around here after the experience would be interesting and enjoyable. The bowl will be sent to the address provided after 3 months, shipping costs are NOT included in the price of the experience.
