1.00We booked this experience and provided, in advance as requested, the name of our ship and what time we needed to be back on board. In response, Shore Experience Livorno confirmed that our booking was updated and then took payment. It was AFTER we were on the bus and partially on the way that they informed us that they would not be able to return us to the port in time (definitely NOT “guaranteed return on time”). We had to find our own transportation back to Livorno at additional expense. Even after giving Shore Experience Livorno an opportunity to make things right, they have accepted no responsibility for their lack of transparency and communication before we were on their bus. Be wary of this company and its excursion if you want to be sure you get the full value of the excursion and are returned to your ship in time.

4.00This is a good choice if you don't want to pay the cruiseline's outrageous price of $179-$199 for transfer from Livorno to Florence or if you want to skip Pisa and go directly to Florence. The coach was a very comfortable double decker. I wish we could have left a little sooner and had more time in Florence but as it was, we had about 4 hours. Most importantly, the driver did indeed have us back in time, about an hour before "All aboard".

5.00We really wanted to see Michaelangelo’s David, and nothing else (as we had visited Florence previously). Our tour guide, George, offered us many options and individualized the day for us. It was rainy, but we still had a wonderful time in this beautiful city! George was a rock star, finding direct access, skipping lines, suggesting restaurants, and making special accommodations for our family. He also helped us plan our train ride the next day. I will travel with this company every time I visit!!
